Just heard from santander and what a surprise they want to know where the Money 25k came from which we just send again more proof statement broker said we should hear by next week.
Similar to us, we provide 3 x we’ve been ltd for 2 years, they then declined us for not trading for 2 years, went to appeal, and we’ve now registered with company house our 2nd year, and accountant has provided paperwork that we’ve been ltd for 2 years twice, still waiting to hear.
We have been self employed for 4 i told my broker how santander are so bad they should have asked for everything when we applied it feel like they just delaying it on purpose told us will hear in 4 days so here we go next week 🤞
Fingers crossed, we’ve been SE for 16 years but ltd for 2 which is an because we expanded so good knows why it’s taken so long.
  • Pleased to say that I’ve finally had my offer through today. Application made on October 19th but lots of back and forth as although I’m employed, some of my income comes from a trust in which I invested my husbands life insurance policy following his death.

The offer is 1k less than my original AIP but it’s workable and after all the months of waiting, I’m ready to move onto the next stage.

Good luck to everyone still waiting, perseverance was the way forward for me as they kept insisting X was all I could borrow but I knew they weren’t understanding my Perosnal situation so I kept plugging away.

Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread as it’s kept me sane and here’s to lots of speedy offers in 2021 🎉

Stressed to the max... Just had my offer in from Santander however its 8k under. claiming i have undisclosed credit but it all my credit card was paid off before i submitted my application and took 2 months to filter though. Dose anyone know if they would re-pull my credit file as it is now up to date? thanks in advance
I was worried about this too as my credit file wasn’t up to date either! They did another hard credit check the day they approved it though when fortunately it had all undated and was showing as paid.
my broker told me before hand to send him the statements of balances for the accounts which hadn’t been updated in case they claimed ‘undisclosed credit’, can you just send statements to them to prove they’re paid!

Hey guys! I’ve just popped on here to say thanks to all the people who saw me through our application, we applied 18th oct and for our offer 17 Dec! Sod’s law we received our offer through the post the other day and my name is spelt wrong so waiting for that to be sorted!!

Good luck to everyone who’s still waiting, it was quite simply one of the most stressful things I’ve been through so hoping everyone gets the result they need so they can just draw a line under it all and complete their purchases/sales xxx
  • Hey all, I’ve spend the past couple of days looking through this forum for any glimmers of hope and reassurance.. I am a day or two away from being top of the ‘pile’ since 16th Nov, now we are in Tier 4 and that means lockdown for my business, a hair salon I’m doubtful I will come out with an offer??
So I’m self employed 3 years, business growth each year, 41% LTV needed. Always keep a saving ‘buffer’ aside for s/e income. The application is of myself the main earner, and my husband who’s retired and looks after our son.
I’ve applied with the help of an mortgage advisor. Santander have already carried out a online valuation and survey. They’ve received the usual documents off me plus accountants filled in form for income with good notes also a predicted/forecast  Income accountants letter for 2021 too.
Give it to me straight guys... what’s your thoughts or anyone been in or are in the same boat? Thanks so much 😊🙏🏻

We’re in a very similar boat (albeit my partner employed) app was the 26th October, last request for additional info was the 8th of Dec.  No response yet.

    I’ll keep you posted!
