Hi all been following this thread for a few weeks now and I’m starting to get a bit impatient now 😂. We applied via mortgage broker on 26 October. Went into the underwriters queue on 2nd November with valuation done. Both me and my partner are employed no debts not affected by the lockdown periods and applying for 85%ltv. Apperntly the application was reviewed on the 1st December where Santander wanted our Experian credit reports as they said that we had undisclosed credit and could not borrow The full amount. Anyway to cut a long story short Santander had made a mistake and then it went back into the under writers queue on the same day 1st December. According to the Santander website they are now working from the 2nd December however we chased it up with the Mb on Friday who said them dates are incorrect and they still have not looked at our case since. I’m now getting to the point of giving up in fairness it’s causing me so much stress and starting to worry the seller will get fed up of waiting. We are going into our 8th week today and starting to really hate Fridays 😂
Do you know how long Santander would normally take to instruct AND carry out property valuation IF we hear back by Friday this week ? Just worried that this final stage may take many more weeks!!!0 -

I totally understand the feeling about Christmas as that will make them even slower! Let’s hope for some positive news by the end of the week! Never thought I would hate Fridays as much as I do at the minute 😂0 -

Some positive news, we have gone to appeal, Santander have asked how we where able to carry on working during covid and a letter from accountant saying we’ve been trading for 2 years, they seemed to think we where trading for 18 months, when we’ve been trading for 2 years. Answered 1st question, letter is being done now, MB said we will the have an offer!I’m still very cautious, but after 24 weeks we may finally been there!2
