Still no news from here either!! The date better move come 5pm tonight, and it better move to 7th Dec 😫0

I’m really feeling done with it all now. We’ve had to make the decision that if this isn’t through by the end of the month then we have to walk away. Gutted to say it but the impact it’s having on our lives just doesn’t feel worth it anymore.LP_London said:Still no news from here either!! Yes I am the same. What would happen if we continued to wait whilst applying to another lender ? Sorry, not very experienced in this area.Meh123 said:

They also seem to have stopped updating the tracker through the day, the SE average time has gone up (we’re already over it) and almost zero movement is being made 😒LP_London said:Still no news from here either!! The date better move come 5pm tonight, and it better move to 7th Dec 😫0 -
You can apply to another lender while having an application with another, I wouldn’t recommend it though, I think that’s why Aldermore retracted our offer because we started one with Santander, also we have an appeal with Santander and our new broker told us not to apply with Halifax while that’s going through.LP_London said:

Yes I understand :-( can you recommend anyone else ? We are SE and E, after 85% LTV, purchase is being treated as residential home but technically my second home, so I will get consent to rent my current property and move into the other. What’s Principality like ? I was thinking to try our luck as joint borrowers, sole proprietor if Santander does not work out, although I am sure the seller will end up putting the property back in the market!85c said:

I’d try Halifax, I wish we went with them in the 1stvplace.LP_London said:

We tried Halifax to get an AIP, but they couldn’t give us the amount we needed, hence why we went with Santander (this would be my 2nd mortgage with Santander). Do you know if Halifax would accept more than two applicants as ‘joint mortgage’ AND/OR ‘Joint Borrowers, Sole Proprietor’ applications ?85c said:

The date better move come 5pm tonight, and it better move to 7th Dec 😫I’ve just tried my luck to call Santander directly and they said underwriters will not be speaking to clients directly, only with brokers. I quizzed them about them about the online timescale tracker, they said they are currently on 2nd December...So much for the hope that they hadn’t updated the date but actually had made progress!0 -
Has anyone had their case escalated via a solicitors letter? How quick was it after it was submitted0
