Has anyone had their case escalated via a solicitors letter? How quick was it after it was submitted
We sent a letter on 7th December as well, saying everything is ready, all checks have come back, seller is ready to sell and request that Santander expedite the case.....and yet, nothing!

Yes it was. Mortgage broker uploaded it into the portal on 7th Dec. I’ve informed broker to call Santander tomorrow all day long if he has to to get some clarity!

Can I ask if solicitors are allowed to speak to the underwriters even if we have gone through a mortgage broker ? I’m trying to find ways to push this in every way possible!

We went through a broker too,  I'm not sure if they spoke to an underwriter but spoke to someone at santander and explained our buyer was going to pull out if we didn't get a reply soon the next day the underwriter called my broker asked a few questions and then our offer was issued an hour or so later from the mortgage centre.
I'm employed partner LTD company 69% ltv with help to buy

That helps a lot, thank you. I’ve now asked my solicitor to get involved and call Santander...let’s see what happens.
