So 8.5 weeks in to application, broker told us we’d have an update last week, spoke to her yesterday saying it would be in next few days. I really don’t like our broker. I’ve had another broker approach me saying she can get one through with Halifax’s in weeks. Especially as we already have our mortgage with them. I don’t know what to do. We don’t care what it costs we just need that mortgage we are so close to losing the house we are buying.
Have you called up santander yourself 85c? I'd try that first and if no luck, see if there are any threads like this about Halifax or start a thread asking for experiences. It seems you're so close to the finishing line now and Halifax could take just as long! I found santander very helpful when I called them and the time lines they gave me were spot on (despite me not being convinced with some of them!).
We had to put our house back on the market on Friday :(
Oh no, what happened? Last post I saw from you said you were waiting on your buyers mortgage to come through.

Yeah we were, as we got our offer 3 weeks ago. Our buyers have an issue with their credit file which will take a few weeks to resolve and even then we don't know they'll definitely get their mortgage, and they hadn't started their legals or searches as they were waiting for their offer. So we decided to relaunch as well lose our purchase if it goes on too long or we miss the stamp duty deadline :(

I'm not sure if you're aiming this at me or someone else but if it's me, yeah, hubby is Ltd and I'm E, we applied direct and it all went through fine. Took 5 weeks from submitting all our docs, the longest wait was for the valuation and soon as that come through we got our offer. Really hope you do get some good news this week xx

Our full timeline for anyone who wants it

    85% LTV.
I’m full time employed - income affected by COVID at the start took - pay cut for 3 months (Apr, May, Jun) then pay went back to normal.
OH is SE ltd company, unaffected by COVID however did take BBL loan as precaution at start but did not use.

We gave our broker 3 payslips, 3 bank statements and 3 business bank statements, however I am not sure if all of these were submitted! We gave these prior to application to make things smoother if they were requested but broker hasn’t confirmed if they were or not.

    DIP - 07/10
FMA - 12/10 (declared how we have been affected/unaffected by COVID and OH submitted accounts certificate)
    19/10 - sent to UW
    21/10 - Valuation booked
    23/10 - valuation carried out
19/11 - asked question whether my income has been affected by 2nd lockdown - confirmed it hadn’t
23/11 - ID check as 2 middle names was getting confused
27/10 - broker chased and confirmed was still in UW queue, however confirmed valuation was satisfactory
30/11 - mortgage offered and text received

hope this helps anyone.. my OH didn’t have any questions relating to his Ltd company!

Good luck all, hope you all receive what you are hoping for very soon x
