So 8.5 weeks in to application, broker told us we’d have an update last week, spoke to her yesterday saying it would be in next few days. I really don’t like our broker. I’ve had another broker approach me saying she can get one through with Halifax’s in weeks. Especially as we already have our mortgage with them. I don’t know what to do. We don’t care what it costs we just need that mortgage we are so close to losing the house we are buying.0

We had to put our house back on the market on FridayI tried once but they said because we went through a broker they couldn’t tell us anything. Are u with a broker? That’s a good idea about Halifax.?0 -
We had a DIP, valuation and offer from Halifax within 7 working days - back in October (we were trying to buy an unusual house & only Halifax could lend on it!)
santander has been a bit of a shock to the system.0 -
I should add that the “unusual house” purchase fell through
Now we’re buying a bog standard house with Santander0
