So interestingly, still no text to confirm offer, so I chased MB on Thursday and Friday morning asking when I would get and was told same thing..any day now...this makes me nervous as it should be quite simple and quick..so I rang Santander went through security and explained I just want an update...they co firmed it was all okay been accepted valuation matched up and by Monday Tuesday should get full offer xx

Yes for sure....i also heard our buyers have had the mortgage agreed subject to valuation..so hopefully that happens next week...I’ve chased the local councils to try to speed up our searches...feel nothing gets done unless you push it x

Brilliant! I’m sure it won’t be long. We aren’t in a chain luckily and our searches are complete, they are just raising queries .. Just waiting for the mortgage 😖

Hi all, I have been reading various threads to see which if timelines are reasonable as have had an offer accepted on a property 7 weeks after accepting an offer on ours so didn’t want any delays caused by mortgage.  

I thought it would be good to add our timeline for others in a similar position.

25/11 submitted application
25/11 valuations instructed
25/11 documents requested and provided (payslips)
25/11 questions asked and answered (previous names, whether we have been furloughed)
25/11 joined UW queue

27/11 Another question (how we acquired our current house) the the same message re: being passed to the underwriters.

Do we go to the back of the underwriting queue each time a question is asked and answered?

It goes back In a queue to be reviewed yes. Not the big one though, I think the ‘documents to be assessed’ queue normally sits around 5 working days.

Morning all, just for info. I don’t know that the list dates can be entirely trusted! My application was passed to UW on 31/10, and  my broker contacted me on Friday to say that it had been looked at and they just needed a couple more bits of info. According to their list it should still be in the queue, so maybe that gives us all a bit of hope that they are getting through our paperwork. Fingers crossed all
