I’m sure you’ll be fine. I really do understand though, it’s the same for us with this extra 2 week wait that we have. If this comes back a decline we won’t have time to fix the situation as they’ll just put the house back on the market. Trying else where won’t even be an option for us.85c said:
Thank you. If it’s not an offer I think we will lose the house we are buying.Meh123 said:
Everything crossed for you that you get an answer soon! I totally understand the absolute frustration of having to wait extra time when it wasn’t necessary! Hopefully it’ll be tomorrow85c said:So not really an update, but MB told us the firm Santander sent out for our accountant to fill in was sent back as he did it wrong. And resubmitted last Thursday/Friday, so that explain us not having an update until tomorrow or Monday. As I was worried why it was taking 2 weeks. Praying it’s an offer next and not more info. Other then October bank statements can’t see what else they’d ask for.0 -
Ours has been delayed too as I have 2 middle names and on my p60 it only states the one (despite every other document we submitted stating both including passport and DL).. MB said they’ve checked it twice now and both times been put back in the queue. We were last put back in on Monday so expecting a longer wait now..0

Jesus that’s just ridiculous!! They’re not making this easy for us are they?!fastbs said:Ours has been delayed too as I have 2 middle names and on my p60 it only states the one (despite every other document we submitted stating both including passport and DL).. We are the same this is our 2nd application and if it’s declined or not an offer he will put the house back on the market. We will proceed with the sale of ours and go into rented. We live in a 2 bed and have 3 children in 1 room and my oldest son has autism and Tourette’s we just need a bigger house. It feels so unfair we can easily afford it. It’s just getting someone to believe in us.Meh123 said:

That’s tough going with 3 kids and only 2 bedrooms. We’re struggling in a 3 bed with 2 kids (but one is an adult) and we need more living space.85c said:

I think the whole covid situation has just made everything harder, we’ve never had to worry about stuff like this before but were genuinely shocked by how everything’s changed and whilst we have incredibly fortunate circumstances I’m not entirely sure if in this climate the banks can still see it?! I mean, at this stage of the game if a business hasn’t gone bust and someone still has their job then that speaks volumes, as so many weren’t able to take the strain of what happened.0 -
So well said! Wished the banks thought like you! I try to be positive and think at least we still have a business and job. I am praying we both get our offers!Meh123 said:

Hi Guys!
First time buyers here. We're using the HTB scheme... Valuation was the 26th & everything received by Santander on the 28th (Oct that is). My partner is employed and I have my own Ltd Company (they have the accountants letter etc). This is honestly the worst wait I think ever of us have ever had lol. I've not been credit checked whatsoever yet, and I've seen others on here that have had a number of hard/soft checks throughout.
Literally hoping to hear back any day now; it's "the unknown" that's killing us!
Anyone else had a similar scenario to ours?0 -
I’m deeply rooting for both of you and trust me it will all work out and the relief will be amazing..once you get it you totally forget the wait and hoping and praying and anxiety...just hang in guys xx85c said:
