How many companies, would actually plan to undertake an update to your Chat system that actually means its unavailable for weeks on end.
Something just doesn't smell right.
So UP going bust may be a big reason why people are saying Neon Reef customer service has recently "disappeared"
What exactly is going on is anybodies guess0 -

Did anyone see this OFGEM statement about Neon Reef the other day? Any thoughts?

@DiseasedBunny
I quite like that idea. I would rather pay a large amount in my periods of heavy usage, and less in light periods. Of course, the real problem is paying up front, which means they are always likely to be ahead of the game, but they all do that, don't they?
Also, if the front loading enables them to forward buy at a better price, so much the better.

Re OFGEM statement above. I did do a search but for some reason it took me to page 41, and not page 52, where there IS a previous mention.0

This is a repost of something I posted earlier on the Yorkshire Electricity (RIP) board. Now also Green (RIP).
Green are livid, and have been pretty vocal about the Government, and Kwasi in particular.
The switching companies are not entirely blameless in this, encouraging people and being paid commission. 'It's so easy, and you'll save hundreds. You'll never sleep at night again, and be on a permanent switching treadmill, but hey...'
I was looking around the other day, and came across a switching company that turned out to be Scottish Power masquerading as a switching company. In the small print there was an option saying 'Click here if you don't want SP to ring you up.' I clicked, but they rang me anyway. They got short shrift.
See what Martin has to say tomorrow (Thurs) night.

Does Neon Reef is able to read smart meters SMET2? I just switched from failed PfP/BG and wonder if they will ever read my meters. Also, when moving to them, I chose Eco 7 tariff, but welcome document showed flat tariff with different price. I sent email to them, but no answer so far.

Well overnight, I got an update that neon reef have blocked my switch.
I do have a debit balance on my account - which I assume is the reason, but had assumed they'd just bill me or take it with the final direct debit.
Octopus, clearly can't talk to Neon Reef about what the issue us - but with out anyway to contact Neon Reef, not sure how to actually confirm the issue and clear it.0
