It seems that Neon Reef's administrators have taken the easy way out, by regarding the last Neon Reef bill as the "final bill" without actually stating this fact. Their only communication was to warn the website would no longer be available, potentially removing evidence of their actions.

jrawle said:Surely this is some sort of professional malpractice if it were true? The role of the administrators is to act in the best interests of creditors and ensure they get as much of their money due as possible. Simply not bothering to bill customers for the product aleady supplied for the last few weeks doesn't do this.

As above, nothing showing anywhere re the interim period and the final NR reading .0 -
finally been able to download my latest bill &, as suspected/shown by others also affected, revised charges from our start date with BG on 03.12.21 now reflect the last reading billed to by NR on 29.10.21, not the reading i provided both suppliers on 22.11.21.
who signed off 'missing' consumption from NR to be billed at BG current rates? How on earth did they think was ok??
my opening bill period was for 87 days, this is the same on the revised bill now showing, but an additional 465 kwh billed & so i've been overcharged £38.87 for electricity only (inc. vat).
no explanation anywhere i can see on the bill or my account. my previous complaint with BG is still open, but within this complaint i specifically asked if all previous charges raised had been cancelled to re-bill missing NR consumption (charges weren't rebilled when complaint was opened) - i was categorically told no, no idea why charges cancelled, probably a system error.
well 'someone' had decided this mass rebill was happening, but obviously not told any staff.
talk about creating a mess & forcing how many ex NR customers to contact you...
my DD is set to take on 13th, i suppose best course of action is to leave DD active & try to update my current complaint? i want to cancel the DD as i know i've been overcharged, but its likely to cause more issues with how incompetent they are.1 -
Managed to submit my 31/3 reading for leccy via the BG online form whilst the website was overloaded. It has appeared this morning but no sign of any replacement or new bills and no explanation of the two uninvoiced debits on the statement !0

Hard to keep up with this thread. All so confusing .
Been with BG since the NF collapse for what 4/5 months nearly , gave regular readings and still not had a proper statementYou don't have any bills/statements yet
while Direct debits are taken , I am told I am in credit yet still being nagged to increase direct debit and the huge rush for the readings last week had probably put things back even more.
EDITED TO ADD: I appear to be well in credit because they are yet to charge the credit against any of my usage since being taken on , hence no bills or statements.0 -

my BG supply started 22/12 but the reading used is 21/11
I think that means I’ve gained the standing charge.0 -

When I queried not having received a bill from BG since joining them (and setting up a DD when this was offered) I was told I was set to 6 monthly billing and would get one at the end of June.
I asked for monthly billing instead and was told I could have quarterly, they then also sent me a bill within a couple of days.0
