I asked on chat when will mine be replaced and it's 3 or 4 weeks away so I assume they are sticking to quarterly billing,? No idea why they cancelled everything though, especially as it meant they didn't take payment for the first quarter. I haven't paid any electricity since may, it's a good job I'm keeping track of what I owe.0

Now able to download this new BG Elec bill covering Dec-Mar. As far as I can see there are no changes to anything in all the “cancelled and replaced” bills:
- the start date continues to be the same (date in Dec when switch completed from NR)
- small debt amount outstanding at NR has not been added
- no unit charges or standing charges in the period from 21 Nov (which I think was date BG became SOLR or NR went bust) up to my Dec start date.
I thought perhaps the replacement of the three monthly bills with this new quarterly bill might be as a result of them putting me on a quarterly billing cycle but it says next bill due in April.

brewerdave said:No new bill(s) here - still says that the bill supplied 1st Feb has been cancelled and replaced - except it hasn't !!
Gerry1 said:I would have assumed that BG were far, far too big to have made such an elementary mistake, repeated it with other tariffs, not promptly realised it and not corrected it.It would therefore have been completely reasonable to have interpreted it to mean that the SoLR price was fixed for an introductory period to soften the blow, and that it would then drop onto the variable capped rate after the expiration of the price guarantee period.
I’m not doubting for a minute she said that, but this is BG we’re dealing with.0 -

Having had to complain about the amended bill, following receipt of my £100 gesture of goodwill, I've now had another one which is again wrong. Despite being given £100 my balance has only gone down by £30. For some reason, they've now amended the starting balance to the reading that I gave to Neon Reef at the start of November which is clearly wrong since BG didn't take over for a few weeks after that. I've had to go back to my contact again and wait to see what happens next. They really aren't handling this very well. Of course, with another reading going to them tomorrow before the rate change, that'll cause even more issues!

They have amended it back to the previous figure, saying that the office used one provided by Neon. Well; that's clearly true but since it was several weeks before SOLR, it clearly isn't correct to use it. Remember to check any amended bills you may have!

It seems that Neon Reef's administrators have taken the easy way out, by regarding the last Neon Reef bill as the "final bill" without actually stating this fact. Their only communication was to warn the website would no longer be available, potentially removing evidence of their actions.

BG chat told me in February that they wouldn't be raising charges for the difference - it was down to NR !! However it seems as if discussions are ongoing as they haven't yet replaced the withdrawn first bill .0 -
