Neon Reef - any views?

My "credit" was transferred to BG today but my "final" bill from NR and my opening bill from BG have different readings in my favour. By my reckoning about £30 in usage has disappeared into a black hole.
I think rather than complicate matters contacting them I'll leave it a couple of weeks as I expect they'll correct it.
I've increased my direct debit to cover the new tariff so that I get ahead.

On checking my account, it was listed in the transaction history section as "miscellaneous document".
The amount seems about right, but it would be better if they included a final closing statement from Neon showing how the figure had been worked out
On analysis, they've simply added up my 2 direct debit payments to neon reef and subtracted my 1 bill payment while I was with them.
I reckon I've received 2-3 weeks energy for free

Same, it's interesting how some people on here are convinced all will be corrected and we'll be billed down to the last kWh. Judging by how past SOLR transfers have gone, this seems unlikely. I still owe Iresa some £120.keiran said:

It's actually the credit balance from my last statement from Neon Reef, which was for usage up to 22 October. I have never received a final statement from Neon Reef, and I've had two bills from BG using the correct opening reading. I have therefore received a month's electricity for free.I'm perfectly happy to pay for the month (at the Neon Reef rate) if they want to bill me for it, but I'm certainly not going out of my way to contact them about it.0 -
I like the idea of the black hole! My last statement with neon was for may so I have 4 months usage sat in the bank waiting for bills from neon and PFP. It's offsetting some of my mortgage interest in the meantime.0

My remark about rates we may be billed was intended to include not being billed for them at all!MWT said:
There is no agreement to be made between NR Administrators and BG in relation to the period from the 21st onwards, everything from that date is in the hands of BG and the the rates come from the tariff approved by Ofgem when they appointed BG as SoLR.Phones4Chris said:
The bit I've highlighted in bold is rather a statement of the obvious BUT as you aren't privy to whatever has been agreed between NR Administrators and BG you can't say what rates we may be billed.MWT said:
The rate and the billing for that period can only come from BG as NR did not have a supply licence from the 21st, so either it gets billed by BG at their rates, or it doesn't get billed at all.Phones4Chris said:So how/who/what rate the energy used from the 21st November to 3rd December is going to be billed, remains to be seen!
As for the agreement between BG and NR Administrators, on that you are wrong. I recall there was a statement from BG along the lines "now there's been an agreement on transferring credit and debit balances from NR, this should begin soon". IIRC (as I can't find it in an emails from BG or NR) it was in an earlier version of the FAQ which of course has been superceded and updated.

My credit from NR has appeared in my BG account, but who will provide a closing statement so that I can check what readings were used? I checked the NR site before it closed and the last statement was Sept. The credit amount shown on the NR website is what has been credited to my BG account.0

Our last scheduled bill was to 29.10.21, reading as provided by me, then it later updated to say final bill but the charges & period weren't updated. The final read i entered 21.11.21, which BG used to start billing from 03.12.21, was eventually showing on NR. I 'think' this has been the same for many accounts.locky123 said:My credit from NR has appeared in my BG account, but who will provide a closing statement so that I can check what readings were used? If the credit matches then it’ll be the closing reading on your last (sept) bill.locky123 said:My credit from NR has appeared in my BG account, but who will provide a closing statement so that I can check what readings were used?
