IIRC I think you also have the option of monthly or quarterly variable direct debit so its a good idea to tell them which one you want - I suspect this also affects the billing period too

I don’t think anyone has had properfinal bills have they?
I have one that is estimated but it’s only online, it hasn’t been sent to me and I’ve not been asked to pay.
I’ve no issue with paying just want the bills to line up and been advised to wait for BG.

I have had two final bills.  The later 'final final' bill was up to 20 Nov and had the correct readings so I taking that as being my definitive final bill. I owe them about £25.  BG are supposed to be collecting this as I understand it  but no sign of that so far (and I wouldn't be surprised if they never got around to it....)

In virtually the same position - final statement with estd reading produced on 14th December but nothing since and no sign of the carry over of the amount to BG. In fact ,BG have just sent me an email suggesting that my DD needs to reduce !!

What date did BG take over your supply? I thought that was at the start of December, so you still have a gap of a week or two to come on top of that final bill, which is the last Neon Reef bill rather than the final statement I believe.

Neon Reef can't bill after 20th Nov as they no longer had a supply licence after that date.  BG became SOLR on 21 Nov and so should technically bill from that date but so far they only seemed to have billed from around 5-8 Dec (account dependant) and so far there is no indication of whether or not they will actually bill from SOLR date.  I think most of us are hopeful they will forget about it (and given their general lack of competence wouldn't be surprised).

I have a 3 week gap between pfp and neon reef and 4 between neon reef and BG.

says that a NR credit /debit balance will be transferred to your BG account

the question then is whether it will just be the NR final bill balance up to November 20th (which most people have had a bill for now ?) or whether a new bill will be generated on NRs systems to take the billing up to the date the billing was switched to BG 

As they are closing down the NR online portal shortly I think its quite possible they will just use the 20th of November balances - for most customers its only around a couple of weeks of energy so the costs & hassle of sorting out the charging for this may outweigh the return
