Things seem to have moved on overnight on the BG app (and presumably online). I now have an account number and can submit a meter reading. No sign of a credit balance being passed over from NR yet. Surprisingly.
Quite a lot to look at on the account, although it is still unclear whether the tariff is fixed to 31/07/22 or not. Will look at the Rewards scheme later, as mentioned previously by @Shedman ?2 -
Is that IOS app or Android app you're using? On IOS app nothing is showing new is showing in my login (likewise on web login) but on stepdaughters login its showing that a meter read can be submitted but no account number or anything much else. Are you sure its an account number you're able to see rather than the sales order number?Mind you it still has her supply date as 3rd whereas they shifted mine out to 8th from 2nd for some reason so that might explain why the difference.0

I can access both iOS and android versions. Definitely a/c number - begins with 8, the sales number began with 2. First screen says ‘Act now to progress your switch’ which then
allows the submission of a meter reading. App version 2.17.Drop down menu (usual 3 line job) then shows lots of sections including ‘My Account’ which is where the a/c number is shown.
Having said that, the meter reading I sent earlier, which then showed on the switch progress timeline, seems to have disappeared, as if I’d never sent it…1 -
Going via the webpage, my new BG account page hasn't changed for over a week - still asking me to phone the 0333 number and showing the expected date as 6th December. Having spent an hour on the phone on Saturday morning waiting ,only to get cut off, I'm going to wait for them to contact me !!0

And when it happens, I guess it’s the same reading as the closing one we gave neon?0

A good point. Like a fool I just submitted today's actual reading. Schoolboy error.
My meter is manual, but I suppose if I had a smart meter, BG would use today's reading anyway. Presumably it has no way of differentiating between dates and suppliers.0
