Are you referring to the SoLR “Welcome To British Gas” tariff? That can be looked up on their Tariff Information page after you’ve entered your postcode and payment method.Deleted_User said:BG either can't, or won't, clarify the tariff, and say I'll have to wait until supply supposedly starts on 2/12 (Thurs). Hmm.
What price transparency?1 -
I am fully aware of the cap (who couldn't be). No, I'm not querying the tariff rate, but whether it is variable, or fixed until 31/7/22 - i.e. past the next proposed cap review date of April. If you read the blurb, it is very unclear and badly worded, and mentions both. BG seems disinclined to clarify it for some reason. It would be nice to know for budgeting purposes, if nothing else.
Please see the previous posts discussing this issue.2 -
So best to assume the worse - i.e. that the price will increase in April in line with the inevitable increase in the cap - and budget accordingly.Deleted_User said:BG seems disinclined to clarify it for some reason. It would be nice to know for budgeting purposes, if nothing else.1 -
I always assume the worst. Never disappointed, and usually the case. 😉

Your supply is secure. All these ones that signed up to silly rates being OTT. I was done out of over £200 in compensation.0

Nothing as of yet still. I contacted BG via Twitter. They said they have no details for our households supply from NR as of yet. Getting a bit worried now as I cancelled the DirectDebit and the new bill is due to be taken in about a week.infoadict said:
Same for me. Not heard anything from NR nor BG.kiis10295 said:I’ve had no emails or anything from NR or British Gas whatsoever.
Maybe we've fallen through the cracks and are now getting free electric

I have received three emails from BG. One was about resetting my password, which actually meant setting up an account which I have done. I also received another one about my new tariff which was incorrect as it should have been an Economy 7 account. I did the calculations and Economy 7 was cheaper, so I raised a complaint and quickly received a 'phone call in response. The person I spoke to was helpful and told me it should be resolved on Dec. 3 the actual switch over date.
I have received two emails from Neon Reef. The first one contained a load of blah blah blah about how they were let down by outside forces. The second one was more straight forward about what would happen next.
I have also been in email communication with Neon Reef (or the dying embers thereof) about the nonsense readings that they supplied to EDF, my previous supplier, which they are in the process of correcting.
What a lot of fun this all has been and at the same time I have just concluded a three month battle with BT over my 'phone and internet account. Unfortunately, nobody is paying me for the many hours that I have spent on all of this.0 -
I revived an email from Neon Reef overnight. It seems the Direct Debit move to BG is underway.
With effect from 01/12/2021 Direct Debit payments due in respect of the Direct Debit Instruction detailed below will now be for £0.00 and collected on the 13 day of each month until further notice
