Well BG isn't as bad as who I feared. Never been with an energy company with good customer service so my expectations are low anyway.0

This is the tariff that we will be placed on. It's the same rates regardless of DD or cash/cheque.

It’s important to us that you’re fully in control of your payments, so during the initial transfer period we’re starting all credit customer accounts on a quarterly bill and cash/cheque payment method.
If you previously paid by Direct Debit, please don't cancel it. We'll aim to transfer your current Direct Debit over to us, which will take around 6 weeks.
If you’ve already cancelled your Direct Debit, or you just want to set one up yourself, that’s fine too – we’ll let you know when you can.

Eastern:Standard unit rate: 20.871p per kWhStanding Charge: 24.017p per day
Not as bad as I feared and if I can get the warm home discount I can definitely manage. It's next year I worry about if nothing cheap is offered.0 -
Why do people copy and paste information from a site we all have access to?

As they said you can set one up later as we will be on quarterly billing, then id cancel the DD, if you havent already - any credit will soon get swallowed up by the new tarriffs

Don't forget the rates are regional . Have just cancelled my DD to Neon Reef in view of the likely time it will take BG to set up accounts and the extra therefore ,that NR could take before it gets sorted.1

Is the price cap the same for direct debit customers as for quarterly payment customers? I know someone above has said that the "Welcome to British Gas" tariff has the same prices for both payment methods, but is this capped according to the direct debit price cap?I guess people who have pasted prices for gas have done so in error. Neon Reef only supplied electricity, didn't they? Our gas suppliers should remain unchanged.0
