You just refute everything the PPC claim that is wrong.  If you made a point in your original appeal and they haven't refuted it, the point goes to you.

Don't forget you have only 2,000 characters (not words) to rebut the PPC evidence, so prioritise the order in which you respond so that the most important points are at the top in case you need to cut some out.

Use bulletin points rather than over-leggy prose.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You are not allowed to re-state the appeal and you only get to make final comments about their evidence.  Bullet points only.

  • Having appealed and lost, I then received a LBC and now a County Court Claim Form giving me 14 days to respond. Firstly, is the form is genuine? See attached top portion.
Based on previous guidance given here I did submit a SAR request to Minster but never received a response.
Not sure what to do now.  Further guidance appreciated.

Almost certainly the form is genuine. Why not phone the County Court Business Centre and get them to confirm it? Don't use the phone number on the form though - look up the number in the internet. Find a .gov.uk website.

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form? Why have you hidden it?

Of course it's real - where have you been?  Every case here is about winning court cases.

When you answer KeithP's question you will get the advice everyone gets.  The NEWBIES thread has all you need to know about how to defend a claim. And how to request a SAR.

Of course it is genuine, just done on the cheap.

Thanks for the pointers.  Thinking about the defence. As the vehicle keeper but not the driver my wife is the named person  on the claim form.  You won't recall but she suffered a brain injury 2 weeks before the parking offence and is not in a good place to defend against the claim.  I won't proceed with the defence if she has to be involved in any other way than signing documents for me to act on her behalf.  Is this an option?
