Sometimes they get 10-15% of PCNs, sometimes nothing and just the tariffs from the machine, while the scammers keep the £100 PCNs...you can see the incentivisation to make it easy for people to be penalised, where PPC typically only make money from people they catch out.

I've now received a response to my appeal to the first PCN, (recall this PCN wasn't discovered until quite some time after issue due to my partner being hospitalised).
I still await any kind of response from the landowner.

That's good - just makes them appear as unreasonable as we know they are and this can be referred to in court.  Bear in mind the mitigating circs and the fact we are in lockdown and the PCN wasn't known about, a late appeal could have been considered and POPLA would have taken an appeal if MB had given you a POPLA code (you probably wouldn't have won at POPLA, but the Judge you see later doesn't need to know that).

Anyway it just makes MB look unreasonable, which is a good position to put yourself in.

Received this disappointing response from the landowner, I was surprised by the wording "not able to intervene" given they placed a contract which implies they have given up control.

I've now received the response from MB rejecting my appeal to the second parking charge notice and now providing a POPLA code.  See the attached images below.

So in summary of the current status is.
    - first parking charge notice, no appeal allowed due to lateness of appeal. No POPLA code given
    - second parking charge notice, appeal made, reviewed and rejected. POPLA code given

    Couple of questions:
    1. I assume I should now appeal to POPLA using a standard template?
    2. Should I now set out the circumstances related to both PCNs as when I appealed to Minster for the second PCN I did not realise there had been a previous PCN.  I used the standard template wording and did not go into the detail around the police incident (for which I now have the Police Incident number).

Go on foot and get some pics of the signs.  Many MB car parks only have signed about Bransby Wilson (have we already covered this in this thread, can't recall and I have no time to look back?).

Signs pics posted already.  They use both Bransby and MB.  Earlier comment indicated they were inconsistent similar what has been reported in a separate thread.

Great - and that POPLA appeal won, so copy & adapt that.

Hi - I've looked back and followed the link to the recommended DorianWolf thread (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5940112/ridiculous-sting-another-unscrupulous-parking-company/p5) but the dropbox link to the PDF is no longer working.
I've also visited the POPLA website to see if I can download a copy but it seems not.
I don't suppose anyone took a copy?  POPLA code for DorianWolf was 4111647007.  I have posted a message to DorianWolf too.

I don't think you need the PDF. DorianWolf's thread has the text of their second appeal that was allowed. The post you want is dated 15th May at 9.27pm.

There is an early post by C-m in DorianWolf's thread about another Bransby Wilson/Minster Baywatch win at PoPLA. That post is dated 18th Jan at 12.25am with a link to another thread.

Make your appeal using all the relevant points from the third post of the NEWBIES and refer to the other two winning PoPLA appeals above. Quote the relevant paragraph or two of the assessors decision plus the appeal numbers.

Post your draft here for comments before you submit it. If/when you win, tell MB to cancel the other scamvoice because they have no chance of winning in court.
