GI, sounds funny but it could've been a spider setting off your car alarm if they go past the door sensor, it happened to me. The other times have been when the dash cam fell off and was swinging by the cable.
WMx1 and planted some sunflowers that were too big for their pot is the extent of my flying today!!

I’ve cracked on with the jobs since I got back from work, helped by on/off heavy showers, so no being distracted by the garden. Ensuite cleaned, DD cleaned and swept her bedroom, rest of upstairs vacc'd, also the stairs, hall and a quick whizz round in the LR. Ran the duster down the bannisters - eek 😳.A second load of washing is hanging up, and HHI cleared the ironing pile. Now to set about finding a grocery delivery slot for sometime next week, hopefully.8

nmm Thanks - you could be right, hopefully. It has been fine all day today.
Well, I didn't hang the washing out because it rained again, so it went in the TD. It is now folded and sorted into piles. I did manage 15 minutes weeding in the garden between showers. I also cleaned the bathroom mirror & window, and the bottom of my wardrobe door (the dog sleeps next to it and it was gross!) The dog has been walked, dinner cooked & washing up nearly all done (1 pot is soaking), DW on.
Oh, and I have signed up for a 60 hour Early Years Hygge course for £5 - bargain! It is a wanderlust child nature programme, so hopefully it will be fun, and its 60 hours of cpd.6 -
Goodintentions as everyone has said, sometimes you fall off the wagon, we will hoist you up and you can get right back on again. Oh, and car alarms, early in lockdown DS had to go to hospital. He drove and the plan was that I would sit in his car and wait. He locked in me and walked off with the keys, as soon as I moved the alarm went off, not only could I not stop it I was locked in, thought I was going to have a panic attack. I rang him screaming down the phone and he had to run back and stop it.
Full on migraine yesterday, in bed for 16 hours, but before that happened we managed to get DS2 moved out of halls and into his new student house. Been a bit anxious but I am trying to be kind to myself, it will pass. Flying has been here and there but I am keeping on top of things.
Oh, and I have been online sale shopping which I shouldn't have done really but I need some slightly more casual stuff for working from home, especially as I am probably going to be doing a mix of home and office for a while.
Night all, catch up tomorrow x9 -
Evening..... reporting back in to say after a few old day, I have managed a few minutes dead heading my dog rose bush, and bringing in washing just as it started to rain.
I managed to make some lemon cheesecake flavour fudge for kids.
Got some plans to sort some bits of gibble for someone in need, but going to do that tomorrow.
Took kids outside my dear old Dad binoculars to look at the moon as it looked particularly beautiful tonight.
Time for some zzz and try to do something else productive tomorrow.
Sleep well everyoneThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Flippin' alarm just went off again 😡 my neighbours must hate me! 🤣 It has been fine all day 🤷♀️ I have had the car 5 months, and this has just started. I may call the dealers tomorrow....
YL that must have been horrendous! And thanks for you kind words 😊

DS1
came after work and spent 4 hours removing the bathroom units and tracing the source of the water leaking into the downstairs ensuite: it turned out that 7 years ago the plumbers (normally very good workmen) had made a nail hole in the waste pipe when they fixed the floor boards down
Fortunately it is not going to be difficult or costly to repair, so I won't have to go through the hassle of claiming on the insurance - there is an excess of £500 which I am very unlikely to have to spend, even with new vinyl flooring. Not being able to use the bathroom for a week or so is a relatively small inconvenience (no pun intended!). The leak from the flat roof over the study dormer also seems to have been dealt with satisfactorily. We have really been very fortunate.
Tomorrow's jobs will be
- book a slot at the tip (no appointments available before 13th July)
- sort out and put away tools used by DS1
- cut up the old vinyl flooring and bag it up ready for the tip run when it happens
- carry the old Dy$0n upstairs and hoover out the dry mess from under the study floor and all around the bathroom
- make a couple of work phonecalls
- !!!!!! out seedlings
- plant out zinnias and sunflowers along the drive, binning weeds as I do so
- weed the back borders
- Rosie's walk
Good night all - hope the WAC members all get a better night's sleep xx

Morning all,
I have woken up determined to be positive today 😉
I thoroughly tidied the kitchen last night so that was lovely to come down to. The WM is on with its first load, kiddies are eating & I'm enjoying a brew. The car is being sorted, I can afford it which is great news. I wrote a new toots list yesterday, which is firmly stuck to the fridge. I am working for a couple of hours this morning, then will potter and get the house up straight ready for the weekend. I have a child free day tomorrow so looking forward to that (in the nicest possible way!)
Best get a move on, have lovely days all xx
