Wood work down from front of house, no idea what its purpose was, but it is rotten and down, looks so much betterApple tree has had a trim load of dead branches, OH and I were cutting them up for the green bin, but the heavens opened, so we grabbed the tools and ran inside.I've put up a blind
, one more to go but I find it very difficult to drill deep enough into the top bit, mainly due to a metal rsj.

Just having lunch but The dogs have been walked, bathrooms s&sd and I'm currently trying to make a long sleeved dress into a short sleeved one. Swearing at the sewing machine a lot but I won't be beaten even if the dress ends up sleeveless.Spend less now, work less later.9

Midday check in here, got dr beckmann currently servicing my washing machine, three loads of washing done just towels and bedding to do at some point over the weekend but fresh ones are out/on so no real rush.Recycling moved to big bin, bathrooms freshened up and just (hopefully) made some bread roll dough.I’d forgotten how much I could get done when OH is working all day!9

Fling, fling, fling - don’t know where it reappears from. Magazines from 2015 anyone?! And I found 6 more dressmaking patterns, so these are now with the other 150 (ok, slight exaggeration there) in my new Dressmaking Pattern Drawer. DH has now commandeered the room to put up 2 bookshelves, so has created a right mess from the tidiness and organisation that was nearly there an hour or so ago. Biting my tongue (another exaggeration), as this will mean that some books will move from the landing, so that he can unpack yet more books from our moving in boxes. Boxes from 14 years ago.
Dw running, fridge cleaned out, sourdough starter given a feed so that bread can be made in a couple of days time.8 -

First lot of laudry brought in and line refilled; all laudry ironed. Me videoed reading a story for our remote transition days. Next I have to do a video introducing myself. I am going to involve a bunny because it's cute and a distraction. Jobshare's enlisting her dog...

Fingers crossed that those drains finally get sorted ASB. Spent the morning cycling with DS1 and my brother (I did break all the rules with a very quick big brotherly hug). Then got everything ready for family BBQ, all trying to be careful about social distancing. Everyone fed and watered and waved off home, leftovers sorted, kitchen tidied, dishwasher on and feet up.
Round brain dumps are so good, havent done one for ages. No idea what tomorrow brings, house is a bit messy tbh so that could do with some attention.

Did non-ParkRun and beat last week's time by 2 mins!
Walked back to village shop to get newspaper.
1 lineful of dry washing brought in and folded, another load done.
Bookshelf from bedroom now in study, books on and Amazoo offers scanned in case I can make more space by getting Kindle versions. 2 pinboards taken down and contents sorted.
Discovered surge protecting extension lead broken in study, new fuse had no effect so had to order a new one. Dismantled old router while I was faffing about with cables.
Set to cleaning friend's deep fat fryer, yuk.
Decanted newly-arrived bird feed into rodent proof containers.
Various bits of dusting, de-webbing and tidying upstairs. Bit of minor clothes sorting and decluttering as Mr N dismantled shelves to paint wall.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Good evening! I have been AWOL today. I was a member of the WAC in reverse again. I was just dropping off to sleep last night when my car alarm started again 🤬 My brain was then awake pretty much until about 2.30am! DS came in at 7.30am to ask about a run and I said I was still sleeping! So Narc0 there was no no-parkrun for me! I was awoken again by my fit bit telling me I needed to move at 9.50!! So I got up.
My mum visited today, and we went to the allotment. She pottered about doing some weeding, while I did the harder work. It's nice to have some company. I suspect DD2 used the time while I was out of the house to make a cake for my birthday tomorrow, but she cleaned up after herself, so that was a bonus! She also cooked dinner and washed up/sorted the DW. My flying today has consisted of taking the washing downstairs (although it didnt reach the WM!) and watering the garden!!
The mouse put in an appearance in the LR last night, at about 7.15pm!!
Oh, and the flippin car alarm has just gone off again!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 And that is why I am not sleeping well 😭😭
Good night all - I am off to sit in the car and look for moths!!
Narc0 are you on strav@ or have a f!tbit? I think I need you to inspire me!!

Morning xx
Happy Birthday Goodi xx Hope you have a lovely day xx
When Pip's alarm started going off randomly, DB advised me to lock the car manually with the key rather than click lock. It didn't work on Pip, but if you've not tried that it may be worth considering. I suspect that Pip had water / condensation in the relevant electrics. The irony was that you could rock, shove, and otherwise abuse Pip and the alarm remained silent!!! But then when she was alone in the work car park - BEEP BEEP BEEP. She tested the cardiac function of a number of my colleagues by shouting at them as they walked by. Hope you get it sorted soon. xx
I don't know if it was a coincidence or if I've hit on the cause of my WAC membership. Last night I turned off the lap top and ignored my phone from 9pm. Watched The Young Montalbano and went to bed - so in bed at 10.45 and asleep by about 11, And woke up at 6.05 am I still had weird dreams but SEVEN HOURS uninterrupted sleep. Of course, it could be the Vitamin D that I started taking this week kicking in. And it could be the fresh air from standing and watching NN and his NDN dig holes at the bottom of the garden. (Nothing is ever straightforward at this house, they had to dig out thundering great lumps of concrete from previous fence posts and they found a path! - which led to interesting discussions about the history of my house (built 1930s) and their houses (built early 1960s)) I would assume that a path ran along the back of these houses so that the man with the dilly cart had easy access.
Anyway I'm up. I feel vaguely human for the first time in weeks. I've supped my first brew and WM is swishing towels / tea towels. Fingers crossed that the weather man got it right.
Rightio - Round 1 =
Brew 2
get washed and dressed
feed the birds
sort washing into loads
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
Bed is made and I nipped out to the bin in my nightie to recycle cardboard (and check fence progress). All posts and gravel boards appear to be in. I guess they'll slide in the fence panels today and woot woot - privacy
I was a bit cross with myself for having CHAOS as I would have liked to invite NN to join us for a meal as a thank you. It's a major step even thinking it though so I'll count it as progress.
Brew 2 coming up.
