Morning all.
Paid stuff today so I need to get moving and put lipstick on ready for zoom meetings. Not sure what flying will get done.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Morning all,
Thank you for the well wishes about work yesterday. The work element in and of itself was fine, but I found the whole getting out of the door early with kids in tow/rushing to collect them/coming back to an empty house to quickly sort the dog, dinner, bed etc exhausting. Very out of practice. My brain was wired and I slept badly, so I've been up since 5 flying. I've taken one of my anxiety tablets too 😕
So - DW unloaded, bank checked, poo picked, rubbish out, eggs boiling for DS lunch, dinner out of the freezer to defrost, a couple of work emails sent. I am WFH today, and have written a list.Fayolle - I was so very sorry to hear about your DH job lovely xx
YL - hope you're ok xx
Righg I'm going to sort a few bits of admin then have a wash xx8 -
Morning all,
Take it easy today, ASB, if you can (I know, probably not). It takes it out of you, suddenly returning to work. DD is exhausted after her one day per week at school - even more than usual for a 17 year old!Work day today, and I’m not looking forward to it for various reasons. Still, wm is on, dinner is out of the freezer, and I had better get a wiggle on and get out of the door.Have a lovely day all x8 -
Pigpen, meter readings, electric no as the display doesn't work, no matter what button you press, gas yes and took photos! So far £35 put on meter, we have used 6 units, daily charge for a month is approx £10.50, plus about £2 for gas used, does not make £35...............................Hope the decorating is going ok, you are very brave with small children and kittens around.Someone should be coming today to sort something in the garage out, so I can spend the later afternoon sorting it out finally.Anyone bought anybathroom floor or wall tiles recently, if so where from / who is offering the best bargains or sales, recommendations pleaseBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Good morning!
Well, the planned running didn't happen.....maybe tomorrow 😂 I was woken up by the sound of DD2 leaving because the door slammed as the back door was open!
I went to bed later than planned last night. I did a webinar at 9pm, so my brain was awake!
I need a MAD day! I will start with a little list..
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Breakfast
Check bank accounts & 1st of the month money juggle
Check emails
That is do-able, I will check back in later
Have a good day everyone8 -
Kaz have you reported the gas meter as not working? Maybe suggest a smell of gas would get them out to look at it? I think the people fitting smart meters are back working now, and we had our gas boiler serviced a month or so ago, so they are working. I hope you get it sorted soon.

Round 1 done - it took tooooo long! I think my laptop needs a new rubber band or something! I have also put on the WM
I think it may be a good idea if I popped to the allotment for an hour or so, and then do some flying this afternoon. Can anyone work out why my housework is so behind?I will head out after I have hung out the washing.

Kaz... sounds like the previous lot had a fair debt to clear. The electric meter not working is not good either.. I hope they get those sorted asap.It appears I can not walk at all today.. so a day of tea and knitting is planned.. I had wanted to get some things moved in my room but it will all just have to wait.. you never know.. it might put itself away!
Wool arrived for my friends baby blanket so I will finished this aran one and crack on with that next. Doing THIS cardigan.. simple, no specific gender associations so can be handed down the ranks.. and quick!

Hi everyone
I appear to be ahead on my flying, our landlord sent someone round for a valuation yesterday so the entire house was blitzed and I've done all of the jobs on today's list
oh, looks like I will have to do the ironing now..............

Thanks ladies, phone call made, it turns out (oddly) there was £25.60 on the meter, but the meter had turned itself off (for what ever reason) so after the lady on the phone giving me instruction while at the meter and pressing buttons in what ever order told, it seems it is now working again and we have hot water. The lady also 'suggested to me' that to ring back in 7 days as the service meter changers are going back to work.........I've had an admin morning, and boy did it need it, anyway company accounts brought up to date, end of year accounts in envelope to post to accountant, I've checked last months spends for me and set budget for July personal items ie food, petrol, etc, I am in process for setting aside money for the other rooms I want to do up, (bathroom, kitchen) I do have some quotes, so it should work out. Then if I am brave enough, I am going to do a spread sheet of everything in my book I have kept that I have spent, since Sept 2019, when I started to get boxes etc for the move...........Somewhere along the lines today I have sorted the DW outBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
