Well I failed yesterday with calories again plus walking didn't happen. After I got home from work did 1hr in the garden, made myself an omlette and the football was on. oops. Feeling motivated today, had a small walk at lunchtime so up to nearly 5k now. Going to set my target on fitbit to 15k as need to push myself. NSD today as well woo hoo.Today laughing my head off one of my friends invited me to a group on fb paddleboarding hahaha. I have no upper body strength and at ripe old age of 60 what could go wrong? Then again as a turtle I could excel at this.Grateful forWalk at lunchtime lucky to have beach around the corner.Warm weatherBeing content where I live and not missing foreign holidays at the moment.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/225

Embrace the paddleboard @Calling14 How will you ever know if you don't give it a go? You could be a natural. They are much wider than surf boards.I have just sent back my home c0vid test - easy peasy. Bit weird but there you go. Now I can feel my tonsils. I have never felt my tonsils before. I think they are objecting to being stroked with the cotton bud, they will get over it.Sun is shining, birds are singing, the blackbirds nesting in next door's front hedge keep landing on my living room window sill and looking in, so I feel like the polar bear in the zoo. Very funny little chaps.Ciao Tartarughe!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Walk didn't happen here either, Calling. It has poured buckets all day.
So I haven't really done much today. Just a bit of tidying and sorted out a food delivery for Friday Got a refund for some bread that was stale when it was delivered and another from Amazon for something that was ordered last month and didn't arrive. Feel like I'm turning into a right moaning Minnie but, after all, it's my money. There was a time when I wouldn't have complained but not now.
Pork chops from freezer for dinner with the last of the potatoes and mixed veg.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep, for dh bringing me my morning coffee, for dd loving her playdate at a school friend's house in their pool (yep, it is a posh school!), for getting more prep done for sept, for a chat with big sis.

Today I'm thankful for exercising the last few days, sleeping better than I have for a long time, sunshine and for seemingly reigning in my spending this month!4

Okay, so yesterday was DS2's moving day and I heard nothing from him for most of it. I didn't try to phone him because I thought everything might be going wrong and I might get the blame (unleashing his frustration). I did spend 15 minutes sorting the shed as I had decided one piece of furniture was going in there (something of mum's that she insists 'cost a lot of money, but she didn't have room for it. I got landed with it and DS2 took it to his 3 bed flat). One of those jobs that looks really daunting but was done very quickly (when you only have 15 minutes).
Checked to see if he was online and then later on got a message that had been written early morning saying tip run was first and then coming to us, followed by one saying it would be later on. It was gone 9 pm so I asked if it would be tomorrow, now and he replied that they were loading the van and would be with us about half past. We have been given the fridge freezer - I pointed out that grandma had given him the money for it and if one wasn't needed, we could make use of it, but I suspected he had sold it. The fridge freezer is supposed to go in the room I'm in but will be difficult (currently in the front room). It will fit in the designated space but getting it there involves getting through two doorways, through a 'hall space' which is basically 4 doors in a square with a few added inches (less than a foot ) making it into a rectangle. They got the shelves into my room - took both DS2 and gf as it was taller than the doorframe so lots of to-ing and fro-ing and rotating and dipping trying not to get it wedged.
Getting the fridge-freezer in here will be difficult - will have to find space to put nearly everything and then dismantle the bed (mattress, base in two halves and 4 large heavy storage drawers) to make space to get it through the door and across to where I want it). they said it's heavy and I'm not sure what will happen when it goes into the room as it's carpeted and might drag (or refuse to budge altogether). So phase one is just tidying and sorting as much as possible and then decide whether dismantling the bed is postponed until tomorrow. Bed is a useful height for putting things on for sorting, don't want to have stuff on the floor.
So far I've taken various items from here and the kitchen to the recycling bins and to the polytunnel (lots to do in there as well), cleared out a corner cupboard looking for the pair to the small vase mum has out (used as a pencil pot), putting away a pack of kitchen rolls and emptying another cupboard that mum plans to wipe over. Another gadget and a 4 pack of cups that will be leaving the house at some point are to be moved to the shed (joining the sewing machine, the fan and the ironing board). I had to take all the coats off the rack in the hall way so going to dust and wipe over in there before they go back.
One day, not sure which, will be a heavy shopping day. We need meat and cheese (have fresh veg and herbs and spices though will be doing a bulk purchase of some) replacements for some items which have just been moved into the kitchen (cereals, pulses, dried fruit), some 'medical' items - arch supports are nearly completely flat, want to buy a roll of most useful size support bandage and winter supplies like vix and cough medicine. Limited item ordering means I'm not getting all I want (but using up less popular items where possible) so want to do a few orders over the next few days/ weeks, looking at one category at a time. This week I did spices - have used up some of the ones mum had in and want more of the ones I use a lot ( also bought some 'back up' items in case of running out/ non-availability - garlic puree and a couple of the 'very lazy' items, may add frozen stock when I have my extra space up and running and work out what I have space for). This week I want to do 'medical stuff" - regular stuff and 'first aid' type stuff. New space gives me the option of doing a musclefoods order or half a Yorkshire sheep. But one step at a time
Today I am grateful for seeing DS2 and his gf (he's coming back at weekend to attach the shelf unit to the wall), for things going more smoothly than anticipated (thought I might have to sleep on the couch as I shifted things onto the bed to make more room for manipulating the shelves and then made a space to drag them diagonally across the bed), for mum fancying a 'real' pizza which fed her yesterday and made lunch for us both today (luckily I knew which pizza parlour my brother would have ordered from when he bought her some - DS3 spent a lot of time with him in the last few weeks of his life).
