Today I am grateful for getting out and about early on, for a good ch shop haul for £8, for getting some painting done, for dh collecting our travel tickets for next week, for doing some planning for the next academic year, for finding out about our local library and how it is/will/might operate.

Thankful yesterday for getting most of DS3's new school uniform, for a yummy dinner, for not being someone who 'needs' to go into town often (didn't like it!) for glorious weather again :)

In my defense, they were reduced to 75p for 16 instead of £2 for 8.

That explains it. Nobody could resist a bargain like that.

You'd have to fight Himself off if he saw a bargain like that.

It makes me think of punch and judy show with all these sausages ;-)
    Nothing wonderfully excited to report.
    NSD up to 10.
Last night, decent walk 13k however I counted my calories on my fitbit 1700 ouch.  Today eaten more than half calories already, looking like a mushroom omlette for tea, good walk and some weeding tonight.  Need some excitement in my life !

Today I am planting cabbages and red onions. There were going to be lines of carrots too (onions planted in a diagonal grid pattern with a cabbage (cauli/ broc/ sprout plant) inside each 12" square diamond) but I'm settling for scattering them around and covering with a light layer of soil - I'l start pulling some out when they get to finger size and let the others grow, harvest them and the onions before the brassicas need the space (they have a 40 week growing season).
In between, I have been putting together a present for DS2 who is moving in with his gf tomorrow (he thinks his preps outclass everyone else's because as he puts it "When everyone was fighting over toilet rolls, he went out and bagged himself a doctor who specialises in thoracic medicine"). My present buying ability is severely constrained so I've written a card
    COHABITATION CONGRATULATIONS
As you embark on this new stage in your lives
    I wish that
You always have the essentials (toilet roll)
Food in your cupboards (tin of beans)
    And drink as well (teabags)
Money for the meter to keep you warm (piece of coal - I found a few whilst I was digging but have just upended two buckets of stones looking for one, which has now been washed and wrapped in kitchen roll)
May your love continue to grow and keep you warm (one of my chilli plants with 3 nearly full grown)
Be full of laughter and sparkle (can of coke)
May your relationship never grow stale (pack of part baked rolls)
May you see the beauty all around you (have permission to cut 3 of mum's roses tomorrow)
Be filled with sweet things (either lavender bag, sprigs of lavender or possibly tinned fruit)
And when all else fails, always look for humour, however black (might be my lamentable attempt at a present/ 'poem' but mum is looking for funny bits in the paper - a bit worried that a cartoon bird with 3 chicks looks like hinting about babies, both mum and my ex already have them married with kids, I just love that he's finally found someone special - he took a long while to get over a relationship in his first year at uni).

Hope they like it (it should at least raise a smile). Food expected sometime in the next two hours (+ toilet rolls, kitchen roll and books). Need to buy some proper brushes as well (wooden long-handled deck scrubber, rubber headed broom to sweep soil off mum's bedroom carpet back out side and possibly something with a long handle to scrub the shower tiles/ base with less effort). It was the early hours when I completed the other orders and I wanted to sleep - technically this is a spend day so can do it later if I feel like it. Will be placing  further order at weekend for meat, yoghurts and some stock ups (only allowed limited products and used this one for a range of herb/ spice options - much needed).

Forgot to say how grateful I was yesterday that mum suggested ordering takeaway as 'we had both worked hard' (she peeled a pile of potatoes and turned them into mash). Finished the remainder of my meal with a batch of extra veg today (and mash with baked beans for tea). Grateful for the weather being dry but comfortable to working (getting onto the ground and up again is enough discomfort), no meal planning today, getting some much needed items back in the cupboard.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

And I didn't get my walk. Amazon decided to deliver something for Himself today but didn't give a time. Never mind. There's always tomorrow. 13K, Calling. I'm really impressed. Hope I can build myself up to that.

Remains of the goulash tonight with baked potato. Had a rummage through the freezer. If I'm really, really strict (and we all know how that goes wrong!!!!) we should be able to make meals for two weeks with what's in there. Problem is there are lots of odd bits and pieces that have been there for ages as well. Not sure what I can do to use all that up but I'll do my best.

Himself has got the clearing bug and admitted today that he really is a hoarder. Not that it will make him dispose of anything. I think a bit of stealth decluttering is called for. Threw away some empty tins today (the kind that you get chocolates in around December time) and he hasn't noticed yet. I don't mind him keeping them but we now have so many and there is nothing left to store in them.

    Enjoy your sausages, F0xh0les
