A bit more digging and moving stones, milk in, bins in, weeds from yesterday (not worth reopening the gate and adding to the bin) put in the bin. Not feeling great so mainly light meals, portioned up the curry, used up two lonely fish fillets from the freezer, a bit of tidying, quite a lot of reading (7 book series this week) attempted a food order but it didn't go through, did an alternate order which did (delivery next Monday as I wasn't paying £6 - £7 for delivery). Using up odds and ends and writing down 'stockpiling for winter' tins (which are in my wardrobe) and re-arranging cupboards to make more room.
Today I am grateful for easy to wear clothes, someone who took mum's hearing aids to audiology reception for new batteries and tubes and brought them back, enjoying settling in to a read through of one of my favourite series. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage3 -

Still no walk but hopefully can get back at the weekend. Getting a delivery tomorrow from Iceland (very minimum and nothing to go n the freezer thank goodness) plus Himself has bought a couple of books (yes more!!) with birthday money from his bothers.
Decluttered and organised a bit more. I have to to hold my hand up and say Himself is not the only hoarder in this household. I was looking at the amount of winter jackets I have and cannot and probably will not wear again. I can't get to the Charity Shop but my cousin's church works closely with the homeless mission. I wonder if there if some way I could get them there. The churches are opening up again and the jackets are in good condition. I am sure someone would be really glad to have them
My little porch which is made up mostly of cuttings and plants grown form leftover vegetable tops is looking really quite good now. Very green. My next door neighbour is really pleased with her gifted plants (I'm watering and looking after them for her). It's so nice to see the smile on her face. She's had a difficult time and she is such a lovely gentle soul.
I think I'm beginning to come out of the lockdown blues. It's been hard though for everybody, hasn't it? This has been something that none of us could ever have imagined. I think, at least here in the UK, we're beginning to see some light at at the end of the tunnel. I certainly hope so.
Love and hugs to you all. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Today I am grateful for dd still being willing to be woken quite early, for a lovely long chat with my sister, for our badminton skills getting better, for the 20-year-old woodstain still doing a decent job on some shelves, for remembering to order some uniform bits for dd while the postage was still free.

Morning everybody, today I am grateful for the sun being back, for ds encouraging me on long run last night and for the training this afternoon being the last bit I have to do for work in my holiday.
Just got y recorded running time back from the club and it's a target crossed off my things to do this year 10k in 1h 07m not bad for an old donkey like me. The next secret target is to do 5 k in 30 min and then take that up to an hour. But that will be easier if I loose a bit more weight!
Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%
Weight loose 8.6 kg - while having fun. 0/8.6 0%

Well done on that run ditty! You can't be far off 5k in 30mins.Today I am grateful for meeting up with dd's friend + her family + 2 other families in a nearish park (I'd usually avoid situations where the other 3 adults all know each other but I know only 1 of them, so I'm quite pleased with myself. And I had a lovely time, which was great!), for dh painting the grille thingy to cover a big hole through the wall and putting it up over the hole, for plants producing flowers which should lead to edible things, for getting the lounge rug washed and dried and put back down, for 'vintage' cheese - the strong yummy stuff!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Thankful for DS3 having a good last day at primary, for sunny weather and 2 loads of line dried washing, for a gorgeous dinner (pan fried chicken in garlic served over wilted spinach and mushrooms in garlic and topped with bacon and pancetta pasta sauce), for catch up tv, for a good crosstrainer session.

More digging. So far I have filled 5 x 40 l buckets, 4 approx 30 l buckets, 4 out of 5 plastic sacks with soil and the old compost bin (doesn't work very well as a compost bin) with stone chippings - now full to the brim. Have mostly reached the base of the fence panels, well actually the concrete slab below the panels. Need to try levelling it off and planting up next (very fed up with the whole thing and it's not very pretty atm). Want to get in the polytunnel and start setting off the next batch of seeds.
If I go missing, it's laptop problems - struggling to load games or anything.
Today I am grateful for the digging I have done and that the end is hopefully in sight (more to do later in the year if we do set up raised beds), for easy food and for more good reads. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage3 -
Yesterday was quite quiet. Got an Iceland order - mostly fruit juice and vegetables. After coffee heading out to the butcher for sausages and free range eggs. Iceland never seem to have any free range eggs. Foot is feeling better so hopefully we'll get a walk today.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4

Morning all, sorry been absent, RL been mega busy. My FT job and 2 x PT jobs all converged this week so worked everyday and every evening. It's my 6 month anniversary in my new FT job! Most of it having been done at home. My boss didn't appear (virtually) for my review so i'll have to have it next week. He did send me a message of apology. Not sure how Boris recent announcement about returning to the office will affect me but my boss is supportive of WfH and i've regularly said i would like to continue doing that as much as possible. Here's hoping.
I've been doing car insurance quotes on comparison sites and found one that is over £100 less than my current supplier even after current supplier reduced the quote when i phoned them up threatening to leave!
I got my bike back on Thursday as i took it in for service. Been great to go out on it as i've got quite lazy with exercise classes.
I met up with my Book Group friends last night in someone's garden; was lovely to meet up with people in real life.
I'm on leave on Monday and Tuesday and looking forward to a long weekend and a hair cut!
Recent gratitudes: having a bike again at last; seeing work colleagues in all 3 jobs through virtual tech; video chat with parents
Love Deni
