@mothernerd Just to say that we had flying ants all over the place yesterday as well, I tried to sit outside in lovely sunshine but gave up. I just let them get on with it and was wondering where the starlings and other birds had goen as tehy would have had a ball! Could you quietly hide/decommission insect spray as it is toxic stuff? I once had to spray whole kitchen after filling a black bin with food full of weevils. My boys still have a little song for that.
I hope you are doing OK and your kids are ok as well. :-) I love reading your posts.
Here today is tying up loose ends and a bike ride in a bit. Only a measly 6 NSD days so far due to scatter spending. My purse is now only open for food, no stocking up, willopen temporarily when we go away next week, but apart for that my money need to stay in my account!

Happy Monday turtlees. My weekend progressSaturday - dyed my roots, spraying them was making my hair look greasy. Cut grass and tried weeding but my body ached all over. Sun was out be rude not to enjoy it.Sunday - cleaned offices, popped into lidl as I really liked wine I drank yesterday so stocked up. Popped over to take gs out as dd hungover. We didn't do much walk around a castle town and ice creams, Stayed under cover of shop doorways as seagulls were on good form with the tourists. Spendy day toy shop as gs bday and bought what he liked there. Not too expensive !Got a takeway for tea, local Indian does half price meals so be rude not to.Monday - changed woman, drinking and takeaways out the window, salad lunch for me. Will do some light exercise later as whatever I did last week just killed my body and I haven't slept well with twingy aches in legs & back and hayfever.Grateful forEyesight (after following local lads blog, never take my health and eyesight for granted) Such a talented positive person no matter what life throw at him.Local group(usually serve meals homeless) decided our town looked sad during lockdown and have taken out all the dead council plants and put new ones in over the weekend. We went for a walk today despite the rain. Three and a half miles so the distance is increasing slightly. I must say, though, that after the months of inactivity I am feeling it in my legs.
Had to buy some milk from one of the local shops so no NSD. I think that might be the case for some time now just to ensure that perishables are as fresh as possible and also, although it's a bit more expensive, I'd like to try to support them a bit. Had a bit of trouble with the face mask again. I couldn't see the use by date on the milk as my glasses had steamed up again. The shopkeeper said just to take it off as I was obviously having problems but I think I'll persevere. It is only a few minutes, after all.
Had a rummage through my wardrobe today. Just about everything I own is too tight. I really am trying to stick to healthy eating and cut out the "baddies" especially between meals. Wonder if it would be better not to weigh myself as not seeing the weight drop off is so demotivating and just keep trying things on so that I can "feel" it working? If you know what I mean. Trouble with the diet is there is so much stuff in the freezer to use up but I am trying to do it healthily. A bit of a challenge, though.
What I will say is that Himself has given up drinking (a bit of a problem if I'm honest), has been eating properly and going to bed early rather than staying up till all hours listening to music. Combined with the walking, what a difference! He's already looking and sleeping better and getting up earlier. Long may it continue.
So I'm off to put dinner in the oven. A kind of prawn and rice thing that I've made with prawns and various veggie things that I have in the freezer and store cupboard. It looks nice and quite healthy so we'll see. After that bed and an episode of SS-GB.

Evening all, no NSD here as had to sort out some stuff for an upcoming trip - airline moved my flight which has meant spending on an additional night's stay, not impressed. But it's done which is the main thing as it was stressing me out. Debating whether to buy a yoga ball, have wanted one for ages, used to use one regularly in the gym so I know I'd use it and I've found one for £20, I just don't want it cluttering up the place. Might just get it, I've no intention of going back to the gym as it doesn't feel safe to me (and my membership runs out in August anyway) and I've allowed myself to fall off the exercise wagon a bit over the last few weeks.
Went to chiropractor but can claim half the cost back so will only cost £19.50. He's happy with my progress too.
I feel you all re the flying ants, I had to clean loads of them off my car yesterday that had accumulated on my drive home from my parents, such a mucky job.6 -
Today I am grateful for my kettlebell, for a swift visit to sainz, for playing badminton with dd, for dh finishing the pipe-insulating and cable-hiding stuff under the stairs, for spending time watching a butterfly flutter around the garden.

Spent on some more face masks today, after last night's announcement - means we'll have enough to all be wearing them, have spares and some more spares (original ones were clearly a dodgy purchase and some have already been binned...) Have some sains n3ctar offers expiring today, so am debating nipping there (as much as one can nip to the shops nowadays) to get teh additional points. Oooh - also spent on 2 barber's appts for DS1 and DS2.
F1tb1t registered 6 days of exercise last week - zumba x1, rowing machine (30 mins/ time) x 4, walk (2-2.5k, so nothing too taxing!) x 5 - whoop! And 'scoring' my food /10 each day gave me 67/70 for the week(makes you really think about what you're eating and whether it's worth losing a point for when reporting into someone else for accountability!) Now I just need to keep it up...... (that's where I normally go wrong!)

NSD No 8
Four and a quarter miles today. Spoke too soon about Himself. He did the walk but is feeling quite unwell. I suspect it is a symptom of alcohol withdrawal and too much coffee this morning. He doesn't normally drink coffee and it is strong. He's had a bit of a nap but not feeling like eating. Something light later, I think. Hoping it will all level off.
Started to clear out the Boy's ex room. The recycling bin is full to bursting. Just as well it goes out tomorrow. I have lots of cables, electrical, computing, gaming type things about which I have no idea. He's going to have a look before I can do anything with them. Hoping the Local Authority will start doing bulk uplifts again soon so I can really clear it out. Not sure how soon that will happen, though. Saw lots of stuff on our walk awaiting collection.
I'll make some pasta for myself tonight and freeze the fishcakes I made yesterday that we were going to have until Himself feels more like eating.
Another walk planned for tomorrow. Even if Himself doesn't feel up to it I'll do a couple of miles myself.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Hi just to say I'm feeling a bit low, seems like all friends have gone under cover and I don't fancy taking any initiatives. So feeling boring, grumpy and edgy. Tried an online course w ou but miserably failed the first quiz as used the wrong words! Very demoralising. Anyways grateful for ds amazon box as used to send 'care packet' to sister, delayed b'day stuff, for getting out for a run this morning, and for 'new nurses' feel good series on Channel 4.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
