She's doing ok, tired as expected, but things are taking a little longer than she hoped. Sends her love to everyone.

  • Hello again all!
Many thanks for your good wishes, I am feeling better, more human now. The relatives are, well, challenging at the moment and I can see will be for weeks if not months. We will all get there eventually, I know we will, and with better weather coming I am hoping walking outside will be a good distraction. Thankfully both have had their first jab too, which is a huge relief.

In money saving, well, not a lot happening. No surveys. No coin pot increases. However, thanks to setting up standing order, I know savings will be going in the account. Definitely a really good way for me to have that quietly totting up in the background.

I had paid the council tax bill demanded, felt to exhausted to query it, tried to focus on re-claiming support but I simply could not do it. Surprisingly, I actually got a letter from them re-instating it without me doing anything, just because UC was only stopped for one month. Really did not expect it but, it's one less thing to worry about.

Needless the say, the shopping budget is completely haywire, I couldn't even figure out what I have spent. Need to get back on track and not let real life events, traumatic as they are, de-rail me. Onwards and upwards!

  • There's quite a few positives in your update Ren, jabs, CT sorting itself out and savings increasing in the background.

Do drag relatives out when the nicer weather appears, it will be easier for everyone if they are away for a few hours.

Keep your chin up, plenty of rest and everything will fall into place again.

I think you are doing incredibly well Ren, really really well done on all the things you have done for yourself and your dear relatives. Under these circumstances you should be really proud of yourself. PS i bet you dont have 10 almost identical perfumes in a bedroom drawer like I do. lol See you are doing really well. Hugs, swxxx

True Babs, thank you. I actually saw sun today and felt some of its warmth, green buds on the plants, and even a few tiny daffs and crocuses have popped open. It is both soothing and calming to walk around the garden, seeing what's growing, after all this harsh weather. Like taking a mini break from everything....

    Bless you Swan.
That's so kind, you can only do what you can. Chuckling on the 10 perfumes, went out and brought a load of 'healthy' food today, blew the budget again, and have been attempting to eat my own bodyweight/comfort eat..... really need to get off the pity train and onto the welcome wagon to financial future instead.  ;)
