It's very stressful for you. Can other relatives help, even weekends / evenings. Become a joint force and not solo voice.

Cross reference your bills, see how much you've got left for food, and move a bit of savings in. It's not a serious problem and can be paid back throughout the rest of the year.

Remember, when your UC starts up again this month, contact the council about CT and discretionary payment, and you will also have a refund of overpaid CT.

Thanks Babs; other relatives are worried about shielding the older ones i.e. because we are 'bubbled' in level 4... although on the actual night of the fire sibling stepped up to help despite all the additional fears of the mutated virus. They work stupid hours though....

That's really logical, and I needed it spelling out simply, ta Babs (mucho gracias).... I just have to get myself motivated to do it - need to kick this tiredness.... yawn....

In other news, another appliance has keeled over. First the hairdryer (now have short hair cuts, or I was until lockdown!), then the food processor (but have back-up hand held blender), and now the DVD player.... I cannot be bothered replacing it, just not that interested in watching t.v. or films, as I can't focus.... I will recycle it next to the bin on bin day (sometimes neighbours take away small stuff so it's not instantly binned). I doubt it's fixable as it must be over 10 years old..... argh yawn attack.... it's funny how I used to worry about stuff like that, now, it feels like it's one less thing cluttering up the place. Maybe I will be able to wean myself off the google-box entirely at this rate.

It may still be worth asking, even if they do things in rooms RWP doesn't (isn't supposed to) go in.

You can get a new DVD player for £20 from arg0s, if you decide to replace it. See how you feel when things are settled.

Ren you must be exhausted. This is so much to go through. I do hope you can try to find a bit of you time. I hope you can find some nice replacements that are not too expensive.

What a lousy time you are having. If you start yawning again concentrate on your breathing for a minute, slowly in and out and it should stop it. My mum always says you yawn when you are cold so keep snuggled up while you rest up a bit, no wonder you are exhausted.

  • I agree with MF about the DVD. You probably don't want to think about one now but later it might be nice to be able to watch a film with a pizza or whatever :)

    Take care of you.
