When you buy near enough the same thing each time, you get to know what you have in and what you need. That's a good shopping trip you've done and thank goodness for homemade ready meals. Hopefully you've got enough for the next few days.
You're on your way with saving now, over the first hurdle and now it will roll from one account to the other, building up with no effort. Really proud of you Ren 🍾
£50 down, only another 450 to go, and I am at the first 'step' of having a small emergency fund! Who'da thunk it?"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

We knew you could do it 😁 the light switch was around, you needed to find and press it.
Steps are good. Remember the steps do not have to be big, focus on getting to £100, then the next £100, before you know it there will be £500 in the bank and the next goal will start.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Just another 5 months to go! Ha!
...No, seriously, because I have the dog's vaccination booster next week, there is a bit 'spare' sloshing around in the bank, but I am waiting until that's paid before squirreling any more away. This. is. a. blinking. miracle!

Spare is good, a little fallback for some fresh veg or even split it between your money jar and savings account.
I can see the light shining up here 🤗🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Wow, not been on here as regular myself, thank you everyone!
I have been (cough) cleaning again.... ooh, I am a bit tired. Got up this morning and my eye bags were aching, like they had heavy shopping in them, ha! Not good really, but, needs must at the moment.
I think until the relative is showing improvement, there will be more sleepless nights ahead. For some reason I had convinced myself last night that I should've changed the clocks Sunday night. Stupid brain, so kept tossing and turning wondering if I'd told the relatives right. Finally up at 4.30am and saw that it was ok, I had told them right, duh!
The dog had not read the memo, so woke up at 4.30 demanding walkies, was dragging myself around the streets with her at 4.45am; breakfast at 5.30am, and then the joy of cleaning!
I went in the garden whilst there was some actual sun, clearing leaves, tying up plants that had flopped in all that wind and rain, birds twittering, enjoyed that.Honestly, I am yawning and typing now, might be in bed by 8pm at this rate!

Animals don't understand why we do this silly clock change thing. We got the riot act for being late with breakfast, although she got supper at 2am before we turned in; 1am by the time I was tucked up 😂
Put a cold flannel on your eyes, that should quieten them down a bit.
Helping, cleaning and gardening how many hours are in your day 😁

Crikey, I thought 4.30am was bad! Yeah, if only I could explain to the dog what was happening....
I think I will have to give that a try, poor old eyes are all bloodshot like I have had a great night on the booze, but, sadly not...
Ha! Well, you have to do something if you are up at 4.30am! It's a long time before lunch and seeing the relatives.... had a nice vegan lunch, walked back, walked pooch, did a few more bits about the place, still sending reminder texts, and gosh, I can't stop yawning. It's when I sit down the noddies creep in.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Gawd, yawning again.... will grab a bite & try to stay awake whilst eating it, TTFN!"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."
