He, he, I might've eaten it before you step over the threshold!
Boast away, sing from the roof tops, dance around your home. You did it!!
Stick with the imperfect veg as that can save money, usually because it's a bigger pack. It all tastes the same.
Agree - I did cost out organic stuff against cheapest, and it all would have cost a tenner more, with a lot less quantity. I decided against imperfect apples as they were minute in size (or am I just greedy?) Ha!
Keep a couple of garlic cloves to plant in your garden, each clove makes a new bulb and it's the right time of year to put them in 🤗"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

If you have a couple of pots / tubs, stick one in each and forget about it until at least March.
With herbs you can pack out ice cube trays, add a bit of water then as and when required pop one out and into your food.
Organic is expensive, but you can grow a few things at home and be organic that way 😉
I think the imperfect apples are really for kids as they don't see how small they are in their hands!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

Have to check on the compost - if I have any left....

Like that idea!

I think that's the only affordable way for me, unless I am re-employed....

Hey all
Venturing on here with matchsticks holding up my eyelids, helping to look after a relative and very little sleep, do not make for much money saving.... still the relative is happier, that's the main thing.
Finally got to the shop today and only spent £17.06! Didn't have time or energy to make a list, but, just went through the cupboards mentally and bought what had run out, fruit, plant milk, yogurt and spread, and of course, vegan cheese (applewood smoked I love you)....
Thankfully, I had cooked up those meals and frozen them (mushroom dish, soup and succotash) so have been living on those, else, my menu would have been far less healthy and much more expensive. It just shows, all the effort of doing that has paid dividends this week. Just whack in microwave or pull out of fridge - job done!
And my first £50 has hit the savings account via standing order! Yay!"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

Dual purpose matchsticks, great for eyes and lighting your fire 😁
When you buy near enough the same thing each time, you get to know what you have in and what you need. That's a good shopping trip you've done and thank goodness for homemade ready meals. Hopefully you've got enough for the next few days.
You're on your way with saving now, over the first hurdle and now it will roll from one account to the other, building up with no effort. Really proud of you Ren 🍾Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

It's been a relief to be able to just reach for stuff I've already made, going to play catch up this weekend as the relative is a bit more settled, there may be some cleaning being done, as well as cooking up some more things to use up....
Yes, finally, savings! I feel I have properly joined the savings club now...."...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."
