Has anyone who has exchanged/completed found that KRBS ask any questions when solicitors request funds? Spoke to our solicitor today (we are aiming to complete Thursday next week) hoping to request funds tomorrow but she said if KR ask any questions when they request it may delay it

My process took a long time and for no particular reason, I first got my AIP with KR at the start of November, it took 2 months from then to offer and KR only asked 1 question about child care payments. For some start to finish it is quick and for some it takes a much longer. I havent seen anyone on this thread not be successful, I would think your MB would have voiced any concerns by now if there were any so think positive.
Thank you.  He said should hear tomorrow. Another anxious night's sleep

May I ask if your solicitor is on the panel i.e. working for both KRBS and you?
My understanding (very limited) is that solicitor on their panel i.e. working for both should be able to resolve any queries directly with them, usually to do with searches/state of the property and change of circumstance and whatnot... But really interested in the answer, too - would be good to know!

Especially as I have asked for a product switch from 5 to 2 years, mortgage broker was very reluctant to do it which I wasn't sure why... No re-scoring needs to be done, they've confirmed. But wonder if solicitor might flag anything due to it... No reason for change other than EWS1 only lasts 5 years so I'd rather switch to potentially lower rate in 2 if possible.

@annetheman yes our solicitors are also KRBS solicitors (Direction Law) so hopefully should there be any questions as you say it might be resolved quickly. They have been very slow since offer to move things along, hopefully hear something more tomorrow and get a move date nailed down 🤞

    Still no offer.    :(
Have signed contracts and sent them back to solicitor.    Solicitor and MB are in regular contact so i guess neither of them see any issues.
I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance here.
I am in the same position. I’ve submitted my draft contracts and I feel empty haha!

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the offer.  I'm glad the solicitor has got her side sorted.  Imagine waiting for offer before you do anything else.
