Thanks everyone. Glad we have each other. I'm hoping once this is sorted we can still exchange and complete end of month. Our searches are all back, the final one came back today. So only 4 weeks. We're going to the property Saturday to measure for curtains and furniture. I feel a bit low today.Rachielovescats said:
Yes, the waiting doesn’t just stop because you have an offer. My solicitor only received my offer today... so wondering at the moment when exchange and completion will take place... Waiting for the contract to arrive with my solicitor from the developer’s solicitor.rachlikeswinter said:Don't worry everyone - honestly it will happen just gotta have infinite reserves of patience!

Hallelujah I got my mortgage offer today by email of my broker and also in the post. Haven’t posted for a while. Application was done in October and KR only asked 2 simple questions, it has taken forever! Good luck to anyone else going through the process hang in there it does eventually happen.Does anyone know if they do any further checks before realising the money?3

Congratulations @Loulou0404! I’ve heard that it takes 5 working days from exchange to completion due to that being the time needed to transfer the money across to the solicitor. I would imagine they just do a final credit check to make sure there aren’t any last minute changes to your file; but then all is good to go!Loulou0404 said:Hallelujah I got my mortgage offer today by email of my broker and also in the post. I don’t know about anyone else; but I’m super nervous about paying my deposit incase I do it wrong or something... tempted to do it in the bank with my solicitor on the phone to make sure it goes through ok!!0 -
@Loulou0404 congratulations 🥳 i am not too sure to be honest, we got our offer this week too, one of the 'points of sale' given to our solicitor to ask us was has anything changed personally or financially since applying. I think a standard question, which might suggest they don't check again. We are just waiting to exchange at the moment which is between our solicitors again which would suggest not . I suppose if there was a big time lapse between offer and exchange they may run another check0

@Rachielovescats felt exactly the same .. we transferred our deposit across yesterday.. solicitors text us straight away to confirm they had received it 👍0

Congratulations, @Loulou0404! Happy days! What a long wait though -- slow is absolutely correct with KR!
But they do deliver so I'll wait lol. Just had a positive update?!
I have just received notification from the lender to confirm that the new report has been received and passed to the underwriter to review. Once they have agreed the valuation report your case should then go to offer
But it ain't over til it's over. Don't want to get my hopes up after almost 10 months of this purchase
Fingers crossed for next week!
