OK, just had a call from MB.   KR have decided to do a random audit on their internal processes and have picked my application.   Audit could take 2 days, could take 2 weeks.   MB is not happy and has fired off an email.    All the searches are back with the solicitor now, so this is the last thing.

I've had an update from my MB "all the documents we've sent have been satisfied, just waiting for valuer to confirm they are happy with EWS1" -- the additional info I sent was a letter from my employer about my first name and middle name on my payslip + P60 + gift letter. 

So we wait *yoda face* working day 21 excluding NY/Xmas

11th Dec - Full application submitted
14th Dec - Additional info requested and sent (Nov payslip, P60, gift form)
17th Dec - Assessment queue
17th Dec - Valuation instructed
5th Jan - Valuation date
8th Jan - Responded to underwriter query, EWS1 sent to valuer
14th Jan - Documents satisfied, awaiting updated valuation report

Apparently a backlog due to lots of new applications over Christmas.   They are a small bank so probably struggling.  I can't believe I'm now in the queue waiting for an audit.

Awful isn’t it like you haven’t waited long enough and now they spring this on you hopefully the email from your MB may have some influence over it

@Sotts you’re not alone there! My valuation has been completed but I’m stuck in a queue so hopefully I’ll hear back next week. It’s a tense weekend! Haha

Yes, the waiting doesn’t just stop because you have an offer. My solicitor only received my offer today... so wondering at the moment when exchange and completion will take place... Waiting for the contract to arrive with my solicitor from the developer’s solicitor. 

It’s a whole new world and insight this buying a house business!!! 🤣🤣
