Hi guys, can I ask how people are receiving their mortgage offer? Our post is so late at the moment so I was wondering if you were receiving it by email?
Ours was sent out on the 30th december and we received it on the 31st :)

I spoke to my MB today.  Ews1 was the final bit of paperwork.  Surveyor sent his report to KR on 31/12 and it's now with the specialist team so should have a response this week.   They're apparently happy with everything else .   so fingers crossed

Things have been really quiet in here this week, I hope it's the calm before a slew of approvals next week; possibly underwriters are just remembering how to use their systems again, post-holiday?!

I know chasing doesn't really do anything but I just chased my broker... My sister just told me she's in labour (!!!!) and I'm her birth partner so will likely not be checking in for the next few days, therefore I had to!

Valuation done yesterday and underwriter assessment (initial) due today -- give me something, brokey! Anything! I predict: valuer requests EWS1 on 13 Jan > 2nd underwriting update due 22 Jan. IF I'm not asked for more documents...

    Fingers crossed all!

Good luck with everything @annetheman !! Yes I agree things seem quiet on here.. we were told the KRBS review times for new docs etc is currently 7 to 9 working days (confirmed this week) .. getting worse! I hope someone hears something good soon 🤞
  • Good luck to your sister @annetheman that's so exciting!!

I got my offer letter in the post today and my solicitor received it yesterday - so that's exactly 1 week from offer, if anyone is curious at how long it takes after your broker tells you.

Everything is sat with my solicitor now - KR have requested a Japanese knotweed guarantee certificate from them, as I've discovered the development had it before building work commenced!! It was treated, and they have this guarantee off the developer thank GOD, so my solicitor has passed it on to KR. They told me not to worry as other plots in the development have been bought using KR as the lender and through my solicitor - so it will get approved. Just another fun little twist and turn in my story  :D  Blimey.

I wish it would hurry up.   My final docs went to KR on 31/12.  I'm buying shared ownership and the SO company emailed me yesterday asking for a completion date, because the timescales for SO expect you to exchange within 6 weeks of reserving the property.   Everything else is in place other than having the mortgage offer but I need to exchange by 29th January.   Not sure if I should be chasing my MB (who is waiting for formal offer from KR) or solicitor.    The solicitor has the land searches and all queries are resolved.
Isn't it terrible that we're paying a lot of money for these services and are almost too scared to follow up on what is the biggest purchase we're likely to ever make.

Thanks for this.   SO company also needs to appreciate they only sent the EWS just before Christmas

Yeah, don’t worry. The 28 days thing is practically meaningless, especially in the current situation. I reserved my property on the 29th September and I still don’t have an exchange date yet alone a completion date! Just keep the HA updated and they’ll be happy enough with that.

Spoke to MA today.  As if by magic he phoned me to give an update.  We're almost there.   He's got a good way of keeping me calm !
