Hey everyone, it's back to business as usual tomorrow... I've been willing the holidays to hurry up for this, lovely though they were!

For me it's valuation day, and I anticipate they will ask for EWS1 after it, potentially on the 11th Jan, then possibly find out w/c the 18th? Horrid dreaded feeling I will be the first person in this thread to get a KR decline post-DiP.

Just want the next 2 weeks to hurry up...!!!

    Good luck all!

Don't think like that.   From what I'm seeing on these threads, KR manually underwrite everything from DIP right through to offer.  My broker tells me that they have already done the digging into your background and would only request the valuation once they were happy with everything else.  Im hoping so anyway as my valuation was done the week before Christmas, EWS1 was requested and submitted just before Christmas Eve.   So I'm just waiting for an offer - we are ready to exchange so I better get it !!
But I am with you on the worry and stress of it.   Even though it's only a month since I decided to buy, it's all going very quickly but doesn't stop me worrying.   Tomorrow can't come quick enough.  Like you, I am hoping for some reassurance from others on here.
  • Sent my proof of deposit funds build up on 15/12; received memorandum of sale on 21/12, and hoping that will be all the documents and requests. By my calculations these should be viewed and hopefully approved next week. Full application went in 11/11. The waiting is a tense time. I keep reassuring myself that surely they’d have declined me by now if they were going to!!

Thanks for your optimism! Since your EWS1 was already submitted, I think you're on the home strait... Only Christmas/NY was in the way! Once you have your offer I feel like I could be next in the queue, if that makes any sense lol - applied exactly 1 week after you with very similar timelines + EWS1!

Fingers and toes crossed for you this week!

  • Good luck everyone. Let’s hope for some super news to start the new year!
  • Hi guys, can I ask how people are receiving their mortgage offer? Our post is so late at the moment so I was wondering if you were receiving it by email?

Your broker will email you to tell you you have an offer. Then a copy will be posted to your home address and your solicitor simultaneously. Unsure how quick they get them sent out though!

@rachlikeswinter @Jolee28 Ours didn't get to the solicitor for exactly a week after we received the offer which caused a massive hold up in exchange :( and that was after me calling to chase it up as they have 7 days to reflect the offer
