So annoying, its feels like the broker didn't do his job properly and now i'll have to pull out of the sale of my house and purchase of the new one. He has said that he has contacted a specialist packager, but I think the only other lender would be together mortgages and their interest rate is super high!

Oh this is very rubbish isn’t it!! Kent’s interest rates aren’t the best anyway as couldn’t imagine what a specialist lenders would be like! 🙁 
I’d definitely clear the default though as most places won’t touch you if it’s not settled. My boyfriend had a default on his file (hence why we’ve had to go with Kent) from august 2016 which was only £57 and even though it would drop off this august we still had to settle it and get the credit file updated before we could proceed. It’s defo worth clearing though for when you try again, a settled default looks 10x’s better!

Hi I received an update today from my mortgage broker, the valuation has come back and all fine. They asked few clarification on some transactions on my bank statements which I have replied today. They also wanted to see full year of mortgage statement for my current residential mortgage house. Any update on yours yet?. Thanks 

Ooh this sounds promising!! I hope you get your offer soon. I’m still no closer to exchange of contracts yet! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you Jennifer and it’s dragging out as the process seems very long with KR and I hope they will give me the mortgage offer by next week after waiting for this long and spent lots of time behind this application. It’s a waiting game now. I’m sure you will complete soon and you can relax once you move in to your new place.

First purchase! And yes I hope so to early next week I was told been a long wait since the full app was submitted on 30th April and we’ll fingers crossed for you 🤞 don’t give hope just yet!

Nope heard nothing as of yet think it’ll be tomorrow now

I hope you get your offer soon. My valuation took place last week Wednesday but still no answer from the underwriter’s yet.

I wonder if they’ve had an influx of applications or something because of how long your waiting. I was so surprised with how quick and smooth our process went maybe it was just a fluke! Hopefully you both hear some good news very soon!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Update I’ve been told they’ve been experiencing delays and they will now look at the case by close of business today. 

Just want to know if I’m going to get an offer

Fingers crossed 🤞 you get yours. I have provided them the further information regarding some transactions and money paid in my account as they need clarification. They wanted to see my whole year worth of Mortgage statements for my current residential property which I provided them yesterday. I’m just hoping they will now produce the offer as it taking too long for KR to process things.

Possible they may as lots of people tried to secure mortgage before the stamp duty holiday which ended yesterday and I hope the market may slowdown for a bit as I saw the news over 17 thousand transactions weren’t able to completed yesterday due survey report and mortgage offer delays which now lots of people stuck with higher stamp duty fee with expenses Properties.

Fingers crossed 🤞. As I have been told my application pulled for audit this is why they requested further information such as transactions and one year worth of mortgage statements which is funny they can clearly see on my credit file that I haven’t missed any payments on my residential mortgage since I got the mortgage. I hope this is the last information they need as they got everything already and the valuation came back fine. I think by next week I should know if they will send the offer out or not.
