Has anyone had to pay a higher lender charge with their mortgage?
I only paid small amount of application admin fee. I think it’s depends on your circumstances and what’s on your credit file that’s how they will figure out as to how much they want to charge you

Yay finally!!!! 😄 and I noticed the higher lender fee on my solicitors paper work from Kent but not been mentioned on any of mine. I only paid the application fee and valuation from Kent nothing was ever mentioned about a higher lender fee so I was quite confused! Hoping it’s nothing as surely it would of been on our paperwork too!!

The fee KR charge is the application fee and some case they charge higher lending fee which depends on how much you’re borrowing and your mortgage broker will advise you on this when you got your mortgage illustrations documents. But the higher lending fee usually gets added into your mortgage total.

Hello, we submitted our application yesterday through our MB. They have requested documents today for my partner (self employed) but after reading through this thread it seems that they ask for a lot of extra documents sometimes. Am just wondering if anyone would be able to tell what extra that had to submit? Just so we can try and gather them just incase.  Thanks :)

We have had to submit extra bank statements, but nothing out of the ordinary, We submitted the application about 2 weeks ago. We haven't heard anything about a valuation yet, but they did the credit check the day after the application went in. Hopefully you have heard something by now. The current waiting times for replies etc are 2/3 days so pretty quick really.

Thanks so much for your reply. Is that in addition to the normal 3 months bank statements? We haven’t heard anything since asking for more info on my partner. We have both had a hard credit check the day after we put an application in but nothing since. Fingers crossed will be soon! 🤞 for you also! 😊

Yes it was 12 months worth on a different account, Just when we think there isn't anything else possible they would need, something else seems to come up. I guess its just be thorough but it is frustrating when you are just waiting for that good news to come through, patience is a hard thing to find at times like this. We are still waiting to hear....

We heard back and they just asked us to clear a few questions they asked about on my partners bank statement and about my pay as I do a lot of overtime monthly. I paid off a loan just before we submitted the application so they wanted a letter from them to say it’s been settled etc. It’s just been back and fourth 🙈 they have instructed a survey and just waiting to hear on a date…not sure if this is good news or not. So anxious!
  • Hi just wondering if anyone has applied and child maintenance has been taken into account? They have already had 3 months bank statements and we have then been asked for csa or court order documents. As my partner had a private payment in place we have now had to set it up as csa. Does anyone know if kent will now require bank statements since it has been set up or just the certificate stating a csa agreement is in place.
