Any activity that requires read/write with the disk will work faster with an SSD. The major impact is on start up time and load time for any application. This will benefit anyone.

But this thread is closed? ;)

I suppose that's true. So how do people define what's worth buying ? E.g do some hardware lose credibility and price ? As in do stores ( some or majority) actually charge more than they need to ? E.g intel i3 does it still have value ?
For Pc are there some hardware / spec have top priority over another?

Are budget computers just a cheap way to grab customers money 🤔
🤫 This thread is open 😅😂

SSD price has dropped a vast amount .
Usual is a SSD as primary drive with Windows installed . Allowing faster disk access and running of windows . Plus a separate HDD storage drive .
Whats worth buying at any point in time is what you require followed by best bang for buck .
Just typing and surfing then you only need basic .
Extra power will not speed up your surf nor typing .

So I understand,I may created concern with my thread but I closed to think about how else to use this thread.
I want use this thread to try cover parts to understand what we buy or what is needed 😁

E.g understanding basic specs ,do you really need a computer etc
Plus computer knowledge even basic goes long way
OP. You closed your thread "title" with the multiple helpful replies, because you had a solution?

Would it not be better rather than deleting / altering the thread title, that makes all the previous advice redundant. You appeared to ignore all advice anyway.

That you just open a new thread with your new questions on this different subject?

You can have more than one thread running on different aspects. And it will not confuse all as it now does, and not offer any meaningful help to others in similar situations in what was you original "deleted" thread?

When you get some advice are you going to "close" delete your thread title and start another again? it make it really hard to follow.

I don't think I ignored the advice. I may possibly made little difficult 😬 but the way my line of thought was going I would of end of making to many threads ( that would of probably be classed as spam)

I kindly want remind everyone, a forum or thread doesn't always have stay open , 2nd In most cases multiple threads always get made anyway.

It's not fair to jump at me because I decided to alter or shift my post. Just because I do so, don't make me selfish or that I disrespected everyone who helped me.

Has anyone considerd that it possibly easy for me to come back to or find what I need ?

Please think about the reasons before anyone starts making remarks.

    It was very simple

You have a box in the corner that you don't use that unless there is something seriously wrong with it  will be fine for your use cases(surfing etc). from the little info you supplied.

Why SSD over HDD,  SSD are a lot faster at everything and remove one of the bottlenecks in any system and are cheap.
    They start at £20-£25
So there is a chance that for £25 and a bit of work, maybe a bit more £ if it needs memory as well you could have a perfectly adequate system with years of life in it or you can spend £100s on something newer.

Now what concerns  me is when you say
But I thought of something. Which should be more beneficial hopefully
Why not just add that to the thread as it was running and say what it is you have though of to see if it is a bright idea or not.

You already went off an bought something that was probably not ideal and probably expensive you did not say.

Lets start again because I can't remember and the post has gone...
(There was the bit about getting a printer working but that does not need a new machine)

What are you trying/want to do?

According to the OP, in this thread alone, he has already purchased a Mac, then cancelled it, then a Aspire XC-330 then returned it. Bought specifically against the advice that was given. Therefore it has been shown that the OP cares nothing of the inconvenience he may cause to others. Both to the retailer who can now only sell the opened unit as refurbished, to the contributors of this thread, whose advice is roundly ignored.
It is my opinion, that it is not worth the time of anyone to bother to continue to contribute. It appears to be not a genuine request.
