For your use cases that cpu should be fine it's around 10y old. (a lot better than what I use).

First step is to work out what you have and diagnose what problems there are.

If it has been sitting in a corner unused is there anything on it you need to keep?

Getting 50+ responses in a thread but then deleting your posts and changing the thread title once your issue has been resolved so that nobody coming to the forum with similar issues can benefit from them, is kind of a dickmove, but some people don't understand the etiquette (netiquette) of being involved in online discussion groups.

Perhaps people seeking advice from a 'tech' forum are among those in society who know the least about acceptable online behaviour.

Actually it's not a dickmove, Am not even gonna bother justifying myself. Since it seems you have made up your mind. Your welcome to think what you like 😅

Still, that's no reason to delete your initial post as it could well help others coming on here with similar issues/questions. It's actually a very discourteous thing to to do and shows a complete lack of respect to fellow forum users that have taken their time to help you.

Firstly I want apologize if this come across as disrespectful for users who helped, but that is not my intention. I get others may come with similar questions but at same time there nothing wrong with closing or amending a post. There is no need for anyone to feel offended. I appreciate the help. But I thought of something. Which should be more beneficial hopefully.

So I want firstly cover Why SSD or HDD. As a basic user who needs just Office and or internet. Why pick SSD ? It has better boot times? Last more years ?
Even though my two computers I had were both HDD lasted way past 5 years and I used it for lot heavy tasks . Even if boot times came issue after years. Changing boot up in bios did the job
