Good morning!
I am up, dressed, breakfasted, emails & bank accounts checked. WM x1 done. I cleaned up the kitchen after dinner last night, so that looks okay.
Yesterday was work all day. We played in the garden and SH. It rained a little at lunch time, so we went for a walk to the shop, and LO fell asleep. He didn't nap for long, but long enough for a tea break and to do a bit of my jigsaw! I also did some last night, and I don't have much more to do! I felt I was missing out as I hadn't done one all lock down!I also managed to munch a frog in the form of the SEN report i needed to do, and that felt good! I need to send a copy to someone else now.
Today I need to pop to Mr Al's for dog food and a few bits, and also put an hour or so at the allotment as rain is forecast tomorrow. Lottie the hottie needs emptying (a very mucky job!) as I can't fit much more in!
Todays jobs:
Email report
Contact parent re new contract (long hours, but I want to help her out! The problem is the dog as he would be shut away a long time)
Shopping
Allotment
Empty Lottie the Hottie
Check list and cross something off!!
That'll do
Natty I hope your arm is okay. Please keep an eye on it, and go to A&E if it blisters x
Have a good day everyone!

Dishwasher man has been; it is, as he suspected, a powerboard issue. Two options - new powerboard £130 (ish) + VAT or a new dishwasher. Given the dishwasher is 8 years old I'm going to go for new. So I'm looking for a fully integrated one.
Any recommendations? And you wouldn't touch with a bargepole?

Just back in from work, but it wasn't too bad. Tidied round bedroom and kitchen before I went out this morning so not too bad. Next is HHI and put WM on, before we run out of masks.

I have been a busy bunny!!! ... makes a change from a bunny pie!! lol
Left Oh in bed this morning.. he is a delay fish!
Wiped hallway gloss..emulsioned hallway ... 3 coats! 3!!! It looks fabulous though!stripped a bit more paper.. most therapeutic.
3 loads of washing done and out on the line.
yesterdays damp stuff aired and folded and waiting to be put away.. it is on my bed so I have no choice!
OH allowed breakfast then I demanded he did lots of gardeny jobs including sorting a pile of dead stuff for the tip.. he LOVED that best of all.. not!! He was sent to the shop and having just had dinner he can shower a couple of monsters. I am exhausted, I haven't stopped all day.
Unpackaged new bathroom unit to discover the back support piece is broken.. front and sink are perfect.. it is just an unseen piece which is broken.. willing to accept a partial ebay refund .. but no reply from seller yet.
Cooked dinner.. fed to everyone except myself.. I've got a really dodgy tummy again and not sure what I can and can not eat any more, it is incredibly painful (and windy!!)
Next jobs.. Boss OH to fix said cupboard.. and get it in situ.. Or I will start doing it myself.. that always stirs his lazy arris into moving. if I remove the old basin he won't have any choice.. and it can go in the tip run on Friday. I want to strip a bit more wallpaper in the hallway and that can go in the tip pile and maybe if I have any energy at all left I may gloss.. if not that can wait until tomorrow and I will finish knitting the bodice of Twinkles cardigan!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
Good evening!
A bit of a lazy day here again. I did the shopping (it was very quiet - car park nearly empty!), hung out the washing, emptied lottie the hottie, emptied DW & restacked, got the washing in & folded it. I didn't go to the allotment (procrastinated so long I ran out of time!), but I did do some weeding in the garden and planted some bedding in a few pots. I have checked the list and crossed off washing the bedding as I did that about 2 days ago! I will try harder tomorrow!!
Oh, and I finished my jigsaw!
It's very quiet on here! I hope everyone is okay.

Good evening
Not sure where the last days have gone. Yesterday I was pretty pleased with having cleaned through downstairs and also cleaned the bathrooms, along with a few other odd jobs, including making a couple more masks and getting an online shop sorted for next week. Work wiped out most of today, but I did strip the bed and put the wash on before I left this morning. When I got home, DH had at least had the bedding hung up and dried, as I couldn’t really see what else he had done all day. So this evening I have cooked dinner, tidied the kitchen, “soaked” some rhubarb for jam making tomorrow (wishing now that it was going to be rhubarb gin instead à la Valli!), listened to part of Martin’s appearance on Desert Island Discs (not only showing my age but also turning into my mother), remade the bed, and done HHI x2. DH is messing about on the laptop, again....
Natty - please look after that burn, it sounds nasty x
Kaz - you too take care! Hope the unpacking is going well x
GoodI - I bought myself a jigsaw from a cs at Christmas which I never got to, then I thought that I would do it at lockdown. It is still untouched, so well done for getting your’s done.Valli, we have a b0sch dw. This is our second, and this one has been going for over 13 years as we moved house with it. Drat, I have probably jinxed it now...5 -
Valli I agree with Fayolle re the DW (B0sch or N£FF). My old one lasted about 14 years. They are pricey though. I replaced it with a Bek0, which is okay, but not as good, especially on the dry cycle. Next time I will splurge!!
Fayolle hugs to you. Do the jigsaw, if you want to! You deserve some 'me' time!!

Off list as usual. Booked a Mr T for the first week in July in the early hours of the morning (the booking not the delivery).
- One load washing done, hung out, brought in as rain started (yippee), hung out again, brought in.
- One load through DW (an old Indesit passed to me by a friend who was moving into a house which already had one at least - 10-15yrs ago; it has had one new motor during that time but still works), put away.
- Greenhouse checked. New compost emptied into bins.
- Went for a cycle with Mr N.
- spent a little more time discussing proposed bedroom decorating.
- Sorted out a load of photos. Over a year ago (blush), my mum suggested it might be nice to make a photobook containing our last 3 holidays together. She loaded hers onto G00glee ages ago, I'm still intermittently remembering to sort mine out.
- Social interaction: phone call to my brother; text to friend going in for a scan today; phone call to dog-owning friend (no walker needed today), scheduled Z00m with bil for Sunday, Mr N had Z00m with biker friends as usual at 6pm. Also had chat with neighbour whose fil built and lived in our current house then built one for neighbour and husband in the garden. She had some interesting old photos of the local area including the house.
- threw out old flower arrangement, made a new one. I love the time of year when I can just go into the garden to pick and arrange stuff.
- walked up to post a letter and to my joy, came across a family of baby fairies (long tailed tits for newbies who don't know my passion) in the trees. Stood and watched them for a while.
- had a bit of a tidy in the bedroom but it didn't really need much doing.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8
