Fayolle I bet it will be good soil in the new bit of the allotment if it has not been used as such for 6 years. What are you going to grow?I have an area behind the sheds in the garden at the house (I am about to buy tomorrow so I am told!! finally) it is full of weeds so this coming week I am digging them out, putting new top soil in as the soil level is low (new top soil dumped on front garden by delivery company)I have one very upset OH here (well he has now gone out to buy a drill bit) as neither of his adult kids has sent him a card / text etc, yet both it seems have written all over FB about their OH etc................. am I wrong for not getting involved, both should know a lot better than this, and they are adults. So far todayBook a fencing / handy man guy to come and do a quote for some heavy garden type workBooked to go and look at new kitchen tiles (seems you cannot just turn up any more)Booked a chimney sweep as no one seems to know when the chimney was last swept, then I need to work out if I want to use the open fire, as not has one since I was a kid.Loads of other stuff has been happening with various trades in and out to quote for this and that, so there is a lot of WIP to get this house the way I want it.I am happy to report finally that all curtains are up, 95% of boxes are unpacked, stuff is still everywhere but it is WIP, I am trying to fit a gallon sized old house into a pint size new house, something some where will have to give.Fingers crossed exchange and completion is TOMORROW, and boy will I be please that it is finally over, what is lockdown, homeless, vendors changing their minds etc.................Hugs to you all and thank you for your support over this time, it means a lot to me. xxBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Round 1 completed. I've pegged the washing to the airer and stood the airer outside - so if it rains I can bring it inside very quickly. Probably won't rain now that I've taken that precaution. I'm leaving the rest of the washing until tomorrow when sunshine is forecast.
We've had Sunday lunch Roundtuit-stylePizza - calories counted and included in daily total. DS and GF are now out delivering Father's / Grandad's Day presents and cards. It's the first weekend that GF has been here since before lockdown. DS is a happier chap now.
I suspect that BD is snapping at my ankles - which would explain the 'bah - humbug' rant yesterday and why I could cry today for no apparent reason. I wonder if Mercury is in retrograde? This too will pass.
Hugs

I've got my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly tomorrow kazw xx
In my TMTU I:
binned the pizza cardboard bases and put away the lap trays
rinsed and recycled 4 cans
tore up and recycled a cardboard box
tore up and recycled what I could of packaging from delivery of DS's Father's Day presents - binned what couldn't be recycled
paid my gas bill on line
then
checked my emails and deleted where appropriate
Amazing what you can do in ten minutes plus a couple more

Big flying day today!! Entire house has been cleaned top to bottom, wardrobe has been cleared out, drawers in the kitchen fixed, grandbaby's downstairs toys put in his room (he's clinically vulnerable so haven't physically seen him since March 😔), fridge cleaned out and bed linen washed, dried and remade!
Tomorrow, I start fresh and get into routines - I have no 'gibble' (think that's what you call it - can't check back without losing this post! ) in my house- when we renovated it I literally cleared out EVERYTHING- so there is no excuse for me not to have everything clean all the time! I am a minimalist at heart and when the house isn't clean it really throws me off balance - I know it's sad but it really affects my mood! 🙈
Anyway, feeling incredibly happy again now so am going to have several beverages to celebrate!! 😉😂11 -
short_bird - there was a solar eclipse this morning too. No wonder I'm jumbled!!

OH has emulsioned the landing again.. he is doing the third coat once the beasties are in bed. I also sent him to shop.I have stripped half the landing, sorted a binbag for charity shop, a binbag for DD1, a drawer of new clothes for Squeak, a few ebeast bits, bagged some undies for 'Smalls for All' (better than binning stuff and probably better than sending to the charity shop!)
I put away a basket of fabric.
2 ebeasty items sold.. £15 tyvm.. around 10% of my new stair carpet cost! I have checked my 'dot assessment fund' which currently has £106 in it.. It's going to take a while but we will get there. She has just eaten her glasses.. so they have metal wire exposed and scratched lenses.. no wonder she is moaning about wearing them, she also has a large mouth ulcer.. she is getting an awful lot of them!
all 4 girls bathed and brushed and scrubbed..
DD3 has been offered full time employment from next Monday.. I said she can give me some if she wishes towards household expenses but I am not forcing her as I still get CB/CTC (What she would spend £900+ a month on a dread to think! Noodles, kitten treats and more noodles probably) until August.. so she has July and August pay to herself.. from September she is paying her way!
listing a couple of bits and having a cuppa before girls bedime and cracking on with decorating!
