Hi everyone 🤗
A little late to the party here but joining as I’d love to keep up to date on everyone’s purchase.I’m FTB, broker submitted application yesterday, HSBC asking for payslips today. Apparently no valuation fee or product fee on product I have chosen so assuming I’ll just get an answer next?
Surprisingly I feel somewhat calm about things at the moment, I’m sure this will change! I have 1 million questions about the process and hoping to get some advice from this forum. Good luck to all!Officially a homeowner 🥳🥳
September Grocery Challenge: £146.60/£200
October Grocery Challenge: £175 (rough estimate)/£175
November Grocery Challenge: £77.96/£1500 -

@j_s2020 Also Santander! Application went in on 28 May. Been asked for more documents and given more questions twice. Think it’s normal but doesn’t help nerves. We are thinking we’ll either get an answer or more questions Monday/ Tuesday this week.0

@TWIGLET1234 Thanks for posting and best of luck for the coming week! May I ask, did you go through a Broker? We did, submitted on 3rd June, received one SMS from Santander “thanks for your application..” but no further messages of progress update since. Based on your timeline I guess we need to dig out a little more patience from somewhere 😬0

@j_s2020
yes we used a broker and like you, had one text at the start but the broker has been forwarding all of the email updates she receives. Our case is not a standard one with one of us being employed and the other Ltd Co Director (so self employed in mortgage terms). Many of the questions have been to confirm his income and structure etc.I am told that they are working on 48 hours turnaround when your case lands back at the underwriter.Good luck with yours!1 -
28th of may our broker submitted application.
1st of june asked for may bank slips.
9th of june valuation money requested.
10th of june additional paperwork, proof of income (child benefit/tax credits) requested.
Dont know if anything here is positive... on the edge of our seats here!
Were with Natwest, anyone see any positives here??0 -
@j_s2020 I’m assuming as in @Enerzeal post above, we will not receive request for money for valuation at that is included in our product for free. I’d like to know when the valuation is planned for and completed, hope my broker keeps me in the loop with it all!Officially a homeowner 🥳🥳
