According to Companies House, the head office of PBSA Nottingham UK is in London.
The management office is in Block A, the same block as Student Roost. But the retail outlets are in Block B, according to this map on Nottingham Council's planning page:
http://publicaccess.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/online-applications/propertyDetails.do?activeTab=map&keyVal=OBY9P3LY00200
Land Registry has two more entries in addition to the shops:
Land on the north side of Wollaton Road (the land behind the parking spaces) - freehold.
Block B, Wollaton Road - leasehold.3 -
Why not contact the head office of one or more of the shops and ask if they can advise who manages the property. They must be paying rent to somebody.
Personally, I think pursuing the student management ownership is a wild goose chase.
I posted earlier with a link to a Standard & Poors presale rating report which was referring to the assets acquired by Avenue Capital Student Real Estate (acquired from Opal when they went bust). This report specifically states that the retail units had already been sold. It would not be surprising if a company interested in owning student accommodation didn't separate out and sell off any retail element. This would be done by selling off the Freehold and taking back a long leasehold interest of the Student accommodation. This would tie in with ParkingMad's post above where it says Block B, Wollaton Road (leasehold).
So I suspect that the effective ownership of the Retail shops & car park is different to the effective ownership of the student accommodation (but I could be wrong).3 -

"Sorry ellaro9,Indeed I did misread it.
Unfortunately you have come through to the Nottingham Two reception team. This car park is owned by the retail park not us unfortunately. We will not be able to assist with this"
I will get back on to the land registry tomorrow for the title deeds.

ParkingMad said:It looks like Student Roost is an accommodation management company. You need to find the Midland Way Retail Park managing agent. Did you buy the Title and Plan from the Land Registry?

It feels like Im being given this on a plate but Im not getting it.Should I pick one of the units at random, say Greggs and search who actually owns the property or am I missing something?0 -
I think Chettles Trade Park is where Magnet and Xercise4less are. Can you see any VCS signs in that area on Google StreetView?
Yes, Land Registry should show the landowner of the retail outlets in Midland Way Retail Park. The plan should show whether they also own the car park.

I know from having been down there that there are vcs signs, theyre different to the ones on the retail park, theyre red/black and the ones on the retail park are blue/ yellow.
Land registry opens at 9am, so I want a title plan for "2-6, Chettles Retail Park, Midland Way, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG7 3AG"

I dont think VCS/Excel themselves know how runs it.
I got an 'appeal rejected' from Excel
You can also see how poorly the markings are for the disabled bay, very worn, and the sign they said I should have seen it about 10 feet in the air, no chance of seeing that when I reversed into the bay0 -
I've looked on GSV at both types of signs, but the resolution is so poor it is virtually impossible to make out the wording and logo. Having said that, the blue/yellow logo appears to have the diagonal stripes of VCS. I think the only way to know for certain would be to go and visit the place, which of course may not be practical.
