can it be updated via usb on a memory stick ?
I've got the Samsung NU7120, bought it from Argos December 2018 . Now got this error. Can't even apply Samsung's own updates for this TV. Utterly disgusting.
I have tried. But I couldn't ever get it to recognise the firmware update.3 different usb sticks were triedIt will recognise the same sticks if they have media on them, so it's not the sticks
Thankfully other Forumite
posters also feel angry about the situation we find ourselves in.
I honestly think your comment
highlighted below about the Pandemic was a really cheap shot.
In this instance and at
this particular time, I fully expect your concerns about being unable
to download updates to your SMART television set will be very
low down on their list of priorities. >
Some people have been
campaigning about this problem since December 2018 after spending
£800 on a Samsung TV. They have been asked to wait until a new
update is ready. Told a new motherboard will rectify the problem,
they fit an identical board so no difference. All this is to drag
time out so either people will give up or warranty runs out. They
know this problem is unrepairable otherwise something
would have been
done by now.
My first post was .
<I own a Samsung NU7000
series TV. I am getting a message saying unable to update as internal
memory is full. Googled the problem and on Samsung own community
forum they have 125 pages of people from all over the world asking
why this is happening. Has anyone else here had this problem
and has it been fixed.>
so called smart
to the router which is also
to our computers.Computers
patches to counter any new virus/malware.Our
TV should be able to do the same in fact Samsung's own 2018
us to keep software updated at all times. The fact they tell us they
are listening and learning from customers is a joke we have been
telling them for nearly 18 months the problems and
they still continued selling the product.
We are listening and
learning from our customers, in order to seamlessly blend security
functions that will not inhibit the design and functionality of our
privacy and the security of our devices is a top priority at Samsung
and we continually work to improve our security features. As our new
firmware update prepares to roll-out, we remind all of our customers
to keep their software and applications updated at all times.
admit I am not very computer literate, even if it were possible to
download firmware, Zip
file, transfer to
a USB stick, factory reset the TV , download update via USB. every
time an update was available
I have to.My TV has a big green button
in the settings menu saying Auto Update and I have it turned on.I
by the App comments,
my main concern is not being able to update the TV firmware which
includes security updates as
first posted. I am annoyed
that Samsung continue to force Apps taking up even more internal
memory leaving none
available for me to add my own.
