Hi
I have just had an email about one of my assignments I did for a fast food resturant last month. They have queried my timmings and wanted a description of myslf as apparently the shop had identifed me. Well of course they have identified me! I might as well have a sign on my head saying im a mystery shopper rather than asking for a reciept.
Will I still get paid?0 -

I have found that in every city / town ...(found them in Oxford, and Reading as well) that there are free car parking spaces for upto 1 or normally 2 hours on the side roads.
If you go to the same town alot then one day when you have the time, drive up some side roads that are within walkong distance, and see what you can find. I always use these spaces, and most of the time you need to know they are there, so there is always space to park.
Depending on where you live it can save 70p upwards.....never pay to park again! (unless it suits me for time etc):rotfl:
Hint to finding the free spaces, look for schools, churchs, meeting halls, and smaller shops, along side roads about 5 minutes walk from the centre. ....around these areas are the free spaces.
You will be surprised.!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I never knew that some parking spaces were free - this will save me untold time and shoe leather traipsing around looking for non existent on street pay & display machines. Another useful hint is to look out for signs like this0 -
Did they give you reason?
evidently I cocked up the timings, forgot to enter seconds, I was sure I had done this, but I did have problems with the validation with this, I felt like the report was forcing me to answer incorrectly. I got very frustrated with it. I was sure I had put seconds on as I had used my mobile/stopwatch to do the timings on. This was the one were I had a dodgy tummy after. My fault, but not happy at all but I guess it's won I won't make again either by not doing GAP or always making sure i put seconds done, but I was sure I had.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 102

I did one yesterday too, and when I asked for a receipt I could just tell from the look on the servers face that she suspected, how on earth can they hold you responsible when they don't appear to give receipts as standard??0 -
Can anyone give me a bit of advice? I have signed up with Gap and have had a little look at their site and that test thing you have to do first. I am now a bit nervous about booking any jobs for them because of the precise timings you have to do. Has anyone got any tips for how they take these times? Once I know what to do I will feel braver to do my first job!:heart2: Katie & Benjy - I'll meet you at Rainbow Bridge......:heart2:0

I have a stop watch facility on my mobile phone, I used this and glanced at it at each point.0 -
I have a stopwatch on my phone aswell so maybe that will be a good place to start. Can do some practice on non-MS shopping visits first maybe?! I have one of those stage stopwatch facilities so that may be good to use too!
Thanks for the tip!:heart2: Katie & Benjy - I'll meet you at Rainbow Bridge......:heart2:0 -

I just did my first for GAP this morning, not to keen on it because it forces you to choose answers from a picklist rather than free-form. They do sound to be very harsh with "marking" their reports, and similarly, they don't sound as though they allow you to explain a mistake and/or correct it.
We'll see whether they pay mine now43580
