Two of my year 11s walked out their English exam this morning after 15 minutes because "they couldn't be arsed"

I guess they lost their nerve?0

One of them has spent the afternoon kicking himself for doing it. The other one still didn't seem bothered.
@stymied I don't think so- just total lack of ability to prioritise. (One wanted a cigarette and the other had fallen out with her boyfriend so neither 'fancied' doing an exam right then.....)
@WinterWarrior No no punishment- but as they've pretty much assured that they won't get higher than a 2 overall (but that's if they smash their second paper with over 70%. ..which they won't) so in all likelyhood they'll get a U for English which I suppose is punishment enough.
However on the plus note one of the ADHD firecrackers spent over 2 hours sat solidly writing and appears to have aced the paper
History tomorrow and I had the entire class voluntarily sit in my room doing a revision session until 4.30pm today, so I feel confident that tomorrow's exam won't be a repeat of today's performance.Bottom line;

I got in early this morning to find my entire year 11 top set waiting for me to do a last revision session so that was heartening. One of them (the firecracker mentioned yesterday) did decide to pull a prank referencing the English exam flop yesterday where he pretended to run out of the exam hall right at the last moment to say "nah, can't be arsed" but then laughed and went in. (I nearly had a heart attack!)
But they've all done really, really well. We had a debrief at their request and listening to what they say they wrote for each question they have absolutely smashed the paper. We had a lesson just before lunch- start of revision for the second paper and they were all furiously taking notes and have all taken away revision for it.)
I'm feeling very zen after that.Bottom line;

Family BBQ with husbands sister and sister's wife, his uncle and aunt tomorrow- really looking forward to that. Husband has pre-emptively started an argument with me very late last night in the usual 'start the holidays in a rubbish way' tradition that he has. This time it was over me going to food group. Apparently when I leave the house 15 minutes before food group's published starting time (It's a 15 minute drive away) and return 15 minutes after food group ends with a bag of food all of which has food group branding, there is absolutely no guarantee that I've been at food group and am probably off having an affair somewhere.
I rejected this as insanity - this was then 'horribly hurtful' because I wasn't taking his feelings into account. I pointed out that whether or not he has feelings or suspicions are neither here nor there when faced with the objective evidence that I clearly was where I said I was. The argument then turned to how horrible and misery filled his life is and rather interestingly went down a spiral of how awful it is for him to be living with me (wait for it) his 'abuser'this is his latest line of criticism of me (some of the previous ones being how I was sociopathic and autistic which I've knocked on the head) which he has picked up after watching significant breakdown of the Depp/Heard trial on youtube. I'm emotionally abusive and he is living with an abuser.
So other than being filled with '!!!!!!' I also have a migraine due to being up until 3am in a stressful environment.
He's back in his box again this morning, clearly thinking he has 'won' the argument (That he's since explained to me that I started- in my 'emotionally aggressive way') and kept saying how nice everything was this morning. I've got a good line in 5 minutes of loud sweary decompression after I am in the car on my own in the morning which helps.
.............................
One of my form group just brought me a pancake and a coffee she's just made me in food tech so that's cheered me up
Also, decent amount of food at food group this week- got a shoulder of beef yesterday! So that's being braised in the slow cooker today for tonight's dinner. Just to think, I actually went out and scored food for dinner rather than having an affair! Aren't I good?! (<sarcasm)
Also was handed 2 watermelons so I am seriously considering using one for dessert tonight and then blending the second one and mixing it with pink gin (thank you present for the extra GCSE sessions I've been running from my lovely boss) and putting it in the freezer to create a gin/watermelon slush. I can imagine it being amazing but if it doesn't work I've potentially wrecked both watermelon and gin, both of which I like well enough separately.

Hang on, shouldn’t it be your feelings that are hurt due to his not trusting you?!
So glad that the rest of his family are nice and you have a plan x4 -
Yes it should be really @stymied but that would be in a reasonable and fair relationship.
I've come into work today to run a revision session in the holiday for my year 11 history group. Very impressed that 3/4 of the group showed up for it- everyone is clearly doing a lot of reading as well- made my day.
Had a reasonably nice half term so far.Bottom line;

Had a decent half term overall. Went on a binge watch of gangster movies each evening whilst I was doing some sewing commissions. I really liked the Gentleman.
Back to school today- one of our year 11 classes finishing has meant a timetable change for the rest of the school so there's lots of kids losing their minds this morning- my form are all in and behaving though so I've not had to chase anyone.Bottom line;

Finished my standardisation marking prior to starting marking the GCSES tomorrow! I'm hoping to get lots done during the day as well as getting as much done as I can in the evenings without causing arguments. (I hope!)
Husband is not speaking to me because I said that I was going to use the payments to pay off against the car loan, reducing the amount I owe by 50% of the current total and getting towards being able to free up extra money in my budget each month. (which will be going to my escape fund savings) He said that when I pay back the car I should then pay him the extra money instead as I 'can't be trusted to save up money myself' which is proven by the fact that I don't have 'a couple of grand saved up- which he would have' and I pointed out that he's hardly left me in a position where I could afford to save those amounts. He cited that he has nearly 10K in savings currently 'despite my actions' I pointed out that a significant chunk of that came from my repayments towards what I 'owe' him
