@SandyShores. As it stands at the moment he has £8k in savings and a terrible pension (he 'didn't believe in the system' until fairly recently so has something like £1,300 overall) and no car. I have a small amount of savings (which I'm building back up to be a first month's rent and deposit, £15K in my pension and a car that is worth £7K (that I have paid for everything for))
Technically on paper I have the greater assets, but as he's a bit of a dragon when it comes to money, I would probably suggest that I wouldn't claim any of his savings if he left the car and my pension alone. (But obviously would get advice before I launch into all of that)Bottom line;

Yes, definitely take advice if it comes to it. Although you aren't talking huge amounts, it pays to be fully aware and to get a proper signed agreement.
Hope you had a good time at the hobby event."Think of many things, do one"

Congratulations and yes it is nice to be appreciated. Picked up another £40 of sewing commisions at a hobby event this weekend. Also am 54% done with my exam marking- need to be at 66% by Thursday for the penultimate deadline but I should easily meet that.
I've decided when the money comes in for the exam marking I'm going to spend £80 on a roll of canvas as lots of hobby people have been asking about kit storage- I could make up a decent sized canvas sack in about 15-20 minutes which I could charge £20 for and a roll of canvas could potentially make 40 sacks if cut carefully which would make me £800. That along with the £1000 I'm set to make from the exam marking would actually clear my car finance in July- which was the original date I had set prior to my daughter's accident.

I'm on 90% of my exam papers marked. I've just been offered another 150 to do which would work out as £800 before tax.
Husband is currently insisting that I give him £200 from my exam marking- hasn't actually explained why- I'm ignoring that one for now.Bottom line;
