I am in awe of your patience, planning and hard work. Even if you decide not to leave yet, the lack of debt will set you free....2

I lived with somebody like your other half and it became impossible. You'll leave when you are ready. I decided I was leaving but it took another 18 months before I finally did it. Cheering you on from the sidelines. x5

I started out toying with the idea a couple of years ago- but after his comments last September about "demanding the £20K I 'owe' him back upfront (putting me way back in debt) if I were to ever leave him or else he'd get out an injunction to stop me seeing my daughter' that was the last straw in my mind. I am leaving, there is no relationship to be repaired there.
But I'm going to leave carefully and on my terms to make sure it goes as well as it can do.Bottom line;

So the exam papers didn't drop until 10am yesterday- instead of the 150 extra papers- we've been given a pool and it's a free for all, to mark as many as we can until they run out. However I properly took advantage of the 50% uplift in payment so yesterday I managed to mark enough to make £500! (pre tax) I've marked another full batch this morning in a PPA and I've got all afternoon off timetable due to departmental trips so I'm going to crack on- back to the normal rate today though- pleased with my progress so far.Bottom line;

The exam board emailed today to say that they're maintaining the increased rate of payment per paper for everything we've marked since the end of our quota. Which means that I have already earned enough to pay off the remaining £1222 on my car! (This won't be paid until early August)
I'm going to keep going with the marking until the papers run out- a really good way to build up my EF again.
Feeling very happy.Bottom line;
