Lots of hugs and get well /coping vibes coming to you, Natty. I hope that Mr Natty and MiL get the all clear soon.xx
Pigpen - also with you on all that. I tried following Kaz’s strike example a while back and for a bit the ironing and a few other chores were getting done. Now everyone has slipped back to their old ways. At the moment, I can’t be bothered to make the fuss - I just made a comment to DD about the amount of ice cream she was serving up and she has flounced off to her room. Here, at least, it is not worth the effort atm, especially while we are all under each others’ feet all day.
Sporadic flying today, in between work, hospital appointment, and other bits. Ensuite cleaned, bedroom dusted and both rooms vacc’d. SC chilli made, but nobody seemed that fussed about eating it. I guess the weather didn’t help. Still, leftovers for another day, if I stretch it out with some more beans.
I was planning on watching Sewing Bee tonight, but DH has settled himself down in the LR, so that will have to be a plan for another evening.8 -
I have been quite busy today. I have finished sorting the boxes in the utility room, and cleared & cleaned the work surface. The boiler has a clean bill of health. All doors & surfaces were wiped down with bleach solution after the boiler man left. 2 loads in the WM, hung out and brought back in. WM dispenser drawer has been thoroughly cleaned as it was rank! Vac filter replaced and LR vac'd up. The fold up table has been returned to the cupboard under the stairs, after a reshuffling of buggies and car seats.
I then visited the allotment. I dug out some weeds and planted the remaining caulis - it was SO hot!! (and that was at 4pm!!) I only managed a bit over an hour. Came home to cool off.
I am now sitting at the laptop, contemplating chewing a frog!
Natty hugs to you, DH & MiL, and covid-negative vibes

Lovely to see some of the old names - piggers and mudders etc .... looking forward to catching up on all the news! Her temper hasn't changed ....)
Hubs and I have spent most of lockdown decluttering and now the house is clear ..... but anything but clean. So I thought I'd give this a go again. Looking forward o diving in tomorrow. I think ...

Dizzy_Imp said:I'm flopped in my easy chair in the dining room, all sweaty and bad tempered after queuing outside two banks for half an hour each in our nearest town. The second bank had a very irritating teller who ticked me off for not knowing the pin number on my credit card as I was trying to pay a cheque to it. He was sooooo slow and had to check all my details on the computer as part of their housekeeping....please explain that to the other 15 people waiting outside in the baking sun!! Honestly, just get on with things and hurry up, you annoying man.
So, despite being woken up at 6am by Small practicing his new skill of tea-making (thanks mate, but a 7am wake up is totally fine...) I have done diddly squat.
My sewing pattern for some summer trousers arrived in the post, so just off to search for cheapish cotton fabric to create some cooler trollies, as I refuse to wear shorts, even if we are on lockdown and nobody sees me!
Might do some flying later, might not....dunno yet.

Morning all
Healing vibes being sent your way Natty x
GWS to asb too
hugs etc to any who needs them X
I didn’t post yesterday but then I didn’t really fly, paid stuff was busy, rest of the day was pretty much a write off.
i’ve had a very poor night again and I have a ton of paid stuff to get through before the weekend, copious amounts of caffeine this morning methinks!Today is change bedding day for me so as soon as DH is up I will strip the bed and get it on to wash. I think it’s probably time to swap to the summer duvet too! Will also put on my list to do the spare room bed on the weekend, not that we are having anyone to stay in the near future!
Right then, time for a cuppa, then a shower and get my act together. Back later x8 -
Morning xx
Just popping in to send hugs and best wishes to Natty xx and get well soons to asb xx
Boiler man came to fix the erm boiler (what else?) yesterday. DS dealt with all that whilst I was at work. So we should now have proper hot water rather than hot, cold, hot, cold again - it made taking showers interestingI'd hoped the man who came to service the boiler recently would be able to fix it but he couldn't so hence the visit yesterday.
Also yesterday the makers of the smelly bread got back to me with apologies and a goodwill gesture means vouchers will be in the post when they can get in to their office.
I thought I ought to do the lottery last night to get my 'three' then a colleague offered to lend me books for Dad to read when he's finished reading mine so I figured that was my 'three' and I didn't bother with the lottery.
There was wet stuff coming out of the sky when I got up this morningCars swishing by on the road outside woke me up. Mutter. Grumble.
Anyway I'd better get away to the paid stuff. Birds will be fed and recycling put out as usual.
Take care my lovelies

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
Another working day here so I'm up and dressed. DH stocked up on some supplies yesterday then promptly left them cluttering up the hall so I've just put everything away. Going to wash up now then walk the dogs as it's stopped raining.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Been awake ages.. I have a pounding head (day 4) and a nasty tummy ache.. it is my own fault that bit. I ate meat knowing I shouldn't!
After OH being a turnip yesterday he folded the dry washing then left it outside.. so it got rained on and is all wet again.. I might murder him... He is hiding in bed.. I'm not sure he dare get up!
So.. today.. he IS cleaning the kitchen.. and he can mop it and the loo as punishment for leaving washing out.
I AM making headway in this hallway!
But as always.. cuppa first.
Love and hugs and sunshine for everyone xxx

Morning! Hope everyone doing ok today.
Doing my own thing for a bit until I get into the swing of things again, so far this morning I have:
- tidied the pile by my bed
- cleared a pile of clothes off the landing
- cleared the top of the hall cupboard
- emptied DW
- reloaded DW
- put WM on
- cleaned the kitchen surfaces
- sorted 3 loads dry laundry
- emptied bathroom bin
- emptied bathroom recycling bin
This is a LOT for me, so I'm pretty pleased with myself
I'm crocheting bears for NHS workers so I'm going to do that for a bit before tackling the next jobs.10
