Great work pigpen!
I have had no energy today - the constant wind sapped it all. Folded washing, hoovered round, did paperwork and made phonecalls this morning. Caught up with zzz after lunch, went out to meet my friend at the park (sat in the sun but nearly got blown away), then took Rosie for her walk (it was blowing a gale but quiet down in the quarry). Cooked tea and updated MrS orderbut we've run out of a lot of stuff.
Does anyone want a large 400g ball of 100% acrylic aran yarn in cream? - enough to make a small child's jumper. I don't want anything in exchange except possibly a small ball of pink DK, if you've got some( it doesn't even have to be a full ball). I've decided that, as I cannot knit for long, small items are preferable, so I want to reduce my leftover wool stash by making some little dolls for my goddaughter - but I haven't got any pink yarn! The exact shade doesn't matter, as I have plenty of skin tones, but I would prefer an old rose or even Barbie pink.7 -
Good evening!
I have a greenhouse!!! It has taken DH & DS all day! They are sunburnt and shattered. I just hope it is still there in the morning, because they haven't actually anchored it down yet *insert facepalm emoji here*
I have wiped the kitchen down a few times, watered the garden, done the Mr Al's shop (it was DH's turn, but I thought better of it!!), walked the dog and ordered a pizza for dinner. I also updated some paperwork. I still need to finish it off, but I am not sure I can be bothered now.....
I am just putting this here to remind me what it looked like before it blew away...………….

I have a lot of pink remnants if you would like them.. baby pink dk. I would be interested in a ball of aran if noone else wants it.. I have some in my amazon basket oddly enough. Would you need any other colours? I have lots of pastel colours if you just need bits?
GI.. I'm serious greenhouse with green envy..

Lovely greenhouse goodintentions.
A welcome phone call from DB and mum this morning, she is a lot better and getting around normally again without dizziness. DB said he felt it unnecessary for me to make the long journey on a bank holiday to take over nursing/safeguarding her. Mum agreed that although she'd love to see me, she didn't need me right now and better to stick to the rules, protect Mr N and look forward to time together later in the year. I rang her again this evening and she'd spent the afternoon making muffins!
I did a kitchen blitz.
Maybe it was relief after worrying about Mum, but the rest of the day took on rather a holiday feel. Exercise and food shopping were covered by cycling to the tomato farm, got beautiful fresh-picked tomatoes and peppers. I asked about cucumbers and the owner said he'd not had time to pick them yet, but indicated a boxful of wonky or scarred ones which were free. As we cycled away I thought that next time we go, we could offer to help with picking.
Had a picnic lunch in the garden then both sat and read in the conservatory - I think my hanging basket seat coupled with reading a book set in the Caribbean added to the holiday feel.
Put cucumber plants into growbag.
Put up supports for peas.

Morning all
Nice greenhouse goodi hope it’s still there!
Weekend hugs, GWS vibes, sticks, spoons, etc all available to those in need xx
Phew it was windy yesterday! I got the towels in off the line as they were threatening to blow away completely, DH also took the cover off the garden furniture and brought the cushions in as it was flapping madly, I figured the wooden furniture bases would be fine for a night and the cover was acting like a big sail!
Todays plan for me is the usual weekend stuff of playing catch up on the house, I want to do some baking too, as soon as I’ve had a quiet cuppa a list will be made and I will set about it.
Back later with progress report x8 -
Morning xx
oh goodi I do hope your lovely greenhouse is still there this morning!
Narc0- good news about your Mum
Natty - hugs and love heading your way
There is six pounds less of me sat here than there was this time last week. I'm obviously thrilled - but I'm wondering: where did it go? It was solid. I didn't see it pack its bag and wander off looking for a new body to invade. There's no doubt an answer in physics - energy and stuff - but that doesn't really explain how the fat just ceased to exist. It's not logical - I'm sure I'm part Vulcan. Research will be done; being convinced is another thing altogether. (Welcome to life inside a Roundtuit brain)
Flying so far today = made my bed, threw bleach down the loo, got weighed, brought laundry hamper down, drunk my first brew.
Round 1 =
breakfast and second brew
get washed and dressed
sort laundry in to loads
set first load swishing
feed the birds
put out the recycling
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
coffee
Definitely Groundhog Day!!!!
Love to you all being sent out in bucketfuls - the wind will deliver it I'm sure

Good morning!
I am contemplating getting up.....I have a headache still, and a stiff neck (from sleeping on the sofa yesterday I think)
There is lots of running activity going on here this morning! DS & DH are doing a challenge where you leave the house exactly on the hour, run for a mile ending up back home. Rest. Then leave the house exactly on the quarter hour, run for a mile, etc. The trick is leaving at exactly the right time! DH has done 6 so far! DS on his 3rd.
I was going to get up & run somewhere with DD2, but I cba! I think I will have breakfast, check the greenhouse 😊 and then pack up some tea & snacks and head to the allotment. Hopefully it is a bit cooler today. Still no rain though.
Have a good day everyone!8 -
Morning all. It's the hols. Hope the greenhouse is still there. Need to peg out washing, catch up with ironing and I might attack the border at the side of the drive.

Good morning
Amazing work Piggers.
Super busy day at work yesterday, followed by picking up a click and collect. Saw a friend who I haven’t seen in ages in the car park so we had a socially distanced shout which was a lovely catch up. No flying involved all day, but today I must sort the fridge and a meal plan, before the gannets think that everything in the fridge is for them to eat today.
Wm has just finished but it is so windy that I’m not sure that I will see it again if I hang it outside. I need to degunk my wm. It’s been - ahem - a while, so some flylady advice on what to do would be appreciated. I seem to remember using either soda or white vinegar last time, but may be wrong...
Iona - I have a 25g new ball of fuschia pink wool that you are most welcome to, plus some other pink that isn’t new. And a rather sparkly lilac (also not new). PM me if it is any use, but please don’t feel you have to take the leftovers from my house just to clutter up your’s if it isn’t what you are looking for!
I think I am going to the allotment for an hour or so, even though I hate being there in the wind. Every little helps, or so they say.
Have a lovely day all. Hugs all round x9 -
Morning all. Round, I wish I was part Vulcan. I have put on half a stone since lockdown. Am now in size 16 to 18 clothes. Three years ago I was size 12 max.
Today the dailies are done and I'm going to do my nails next. I also have makeup, perfume and jewellery on today. I am planning a dog walk later at a field 20 miles away as we've not been there since lockdown. I've not been more than four miles out of the village for months.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10
