Morning all
Feeling very Groundhog Day-like today, the weather isn’t nice enough to go anywhere so it’s another day indoors for us. DS (Year 1) is back to school after half term thankfully, I am very happy with the arrangements his school have put in place and having one of them back will be better for my mental wellbeing!
Right I’ll put some clothes on and wash my face... it’s a start!9 -
Round 1 completed + filled the bird bath, put out the rubbish, refilled the bowl with pots, checked weather forecast, took 1st load out of WM and set 2nd load swishing, answered the door to parcel man. Now sat with my coffee.
Jazee - not only do my chives look pretty this morning, but the flowers were feeding a little bee. Only titchy, nothing like the helicopter bumble bees that were buzzing around earlier in the year - bees = happy RoundtuitOh and I'm sure I didn't send my lost six pounds to you - that must be someone else did that!
Round 2 (when I've finished my coffee) =
peg out first load
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
oh my is it hot or is it me? Drip.

GI love the greenhouse, you are giving me ideas for my new garden (as and when that ever happens)OH asked what we want to do this weekend, so I suggested a few ideas, he agreed and now he is being so slooooooooooooow at getting ready, almost tempted to go with out him but that will cause an argument, I need to be back before all the day trippers arrive, ! if they are out and about I'll sit in the car he can get what I need.Kitchen is doneSausages out to defrost for dinner tonight (toad in the hole)Keyboard on lappy now works again.Fairly strong wind atm, but it is a warm windStay safe xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Change of plan here. Rescued the washing before it blew away and just gave the dogs a quick walk round the block. DH is having a cooking session so there's been lots of washing up to do. Going to do some knitting now before lunch and might just go for a drive later just for a change of scene.Spend less now, work less later.8

Morning ladies - another day pottering so far. Got up late, growled at the kids who were being cheeky. Confiscated their tablets and the lead from the PS4 as punishment for them being rude and sorted out all the animals. I was hoping to do a bit of hedge taking at the front of the orchard, but it is really windy and trying to rain here, so I've sacked that idea.
My friend posted some perfume samples to me which arrived this morning, which is a real treat! They are Arabic oil fragrances as I'm not a fan of many mainstream perfumes, so I'll have fun trying them all over the next few days. Today it is "Jameela" which is ok, but has a sharp top note that I hope mellows, otherwise it's a no from me.
I also have greenhouse envy, but as I got my new sewing pattern the other day, I will be content with that...just waiting for my bargain fabrics to arrive.
Flying will be the wetroom after my cuppa. Just had a distanced chat with a friend who popped over to collect eggs which was nice, but sad. We are still in strict lockdown in Wales, so she stayed in her car and I yelled over our driveway gates. One day this will be over...8 -
Both loads of washing securely (I hope) pegged out. Pots are soaking.
I've ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to S on her birthday on Tuesday - that's another lockdown birthday sorted.
Right - WUDUPA

Me again with progress report...
bathroom and en suite scrubbed including mopping floors
all bins emptied, washed out and re lined
office dusted and cleaned
put a picture up that’s been sitting on my desk for about 6 months... it took less than a minute, lol
changed spare room duvet to the summer one
DH hoovered spare room, stairs, lounge and bedroom and also dusted
litter trays emptied and washed
packed away winter duvets
tidied, wiped and mopped downstairs loo and utility room
Towels washed and drying now in TD, they might blow away if I put them out, I have bedding to wash as well, may leave that until it’s a bit calmer out there!
DH is just hoovering and dusting the ground floor, then we will have lunch, I think this afternoon will be some reading and maybe some baking as it’s way too windy for gardening!
Hope you are all having a good day x8 -
I’ve been to the allotment. After 3 dashes to hide under the trees from the rain, I had had enough. Dwarf beans planted, but that was about it. Looked in the mirror in passing when I came home - I would have frightened all children and animals if there had been any out - windswept does not start to describe it. Im all straightened out now and muddy clothes are waiting for DD’s running gear before getting a wash.DH decided to peg the washing out, which I had hung indoors before I left. He is now trying to retrieve it plus the other bits that he thought to leave all over the grass....
Lunch now, then I need to decided what to do this afternoon. There is plenty of gardening and things to do in the greenhouse, but not such a good idea in this wind.9 -
Washing dried beautifully. Still some out there. Have ironed - maiden's been filled and 6 hangers pressed (see what I did there?) into service. Was going to wash car but then I remembered it's in for service Weds and they *might* valet it, so I shan'y. Trying to muster the strength and enthusiasm need to tackle that border. Afternoon everyone, bit of a wreck here as we are at our A&E and I'm having to wait in the carpark while Dave is in there being seen to. I dont know if they'll keep him in or what, especially as the numpty has left his mobile at home.
There is pancreatic cancer in his family so he is now worrying about that, plus he's scared out of his mind. He even said goodbye to the dog as though he wouldnt see him again.
This a bloody long wait...and I must look stupid crying in my car in the car park..lol
